QuoteIrix QuoteRoughJusticeOnYa I just took the nation’s borders on Google Maps for granted (there you have it - that’s internet for ya. ) Actually it's commonly known You come and tell the good people of Morocco that, over here. See what’s “common”... (and don’t forget to mention ‘Wikipedia’, OK. It’ll help; I’m sure.)

Which part of the vast Atlas Region have you been to: The Middle Atlas, The High Atlas and/or The Anti-Atlas? Middle You mean the town of Moulay Idriss? Exactly - sorry, it's been a whi

QuoteStoneage Apparently you don't understand the basics of language, ROY. You can't say a 1-5 defeat either. It has nothing to do with sports, it's basic grammar rules. If you don't believe me, ask any language teacher. I ÁM "a language teacher ", 'SA'... have been for 25 years, FYI. and I master 4 languages in life - 3 of which I'm academ

QuoteStoneage You're wrong, ROY. You can't have a 1-5 victory. It would go against verbal logic. On the contrary; it would be perfectly logic. because it follows the mention of the actual match (in this case: by analogy with Cardiff-ManU, 1-5.) Makes much more sense than to reverse it, in order of 'size'... And about proof & pudding: it's simply common prac

QuoteThe Sicilian Quotecrawdaddy Gotta give all credit to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ,the players and his team for getting a 1-5 victory at Cardiff !. Don't you mean 5-1 victory? Winners always come first. No, home team's scores (should) always come first. (That way, people also know wheter, f.i. like in this case, it's a home or an away win, you see... 'cause Crawdaddy -

Quotekowalski The original I go wild single is louder than the the version on VL uncut.. To me that's the main difference in sound. the crispness & clarity of the guitars, gently weaved together, distinctively in front (where they should be) of the mix... didn't ring a bell?

Quotekeithsman watching the American version of the office, they just don't get it. Completely un-agreed. They do 'get' it; in their own, particular way. As a continental European, I'm really close to British humour, and I've been growing up with it for 50 odd years now. So I feel I did 'get' the original - and while the American version is what it

QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteMKjan In the US, buses are bad. In the US, trains are bad but mostly better than buses. In the US, Air travel is overpriced and also pretty bad. Embarrassing for a first world country. Took a train from Firenze to Roma in less than 90 minutes last week. Clean, smooth, and fast, with wifi. Took another a few days ago from Roma to Napoli, just over an hour. Also ju

Quotelem motlow The cluelessness of the majority of Rolling Stones fans never ceases to amaze me. You watched Keith get drunk, chain smoke cigarettes and vent every bit of his frustration, air out every piece of dirty laundry and attack his writing partners music, his manhood, his lifestyle and everything about him for 30 years but no one realized he was an angry drunk? To anyone who has ever

Saw 1 show in ‘94 in the USA, and something like ‘6-ish’ in EUR All of them sounded (and I do mean: the sound; not the musical performance) awesome - one or two ‘local’ issues, temporarily, not withstanding. So I really don’t get this thread. I’m much more affronted by the ‘sound’ of their recent official release.

Not “JazzFest”... hope I’m wrong. Well the script is bands will be around different stages as normal until the Stones play and then they will be the only band playing...will see in January. T

Clever observations, and really well written (imo). I could 've done without the tiresome 'versus '-position towards 'the White album'/ Beatles; but apart from that, I think this one sums it up quite nicely really. 50 years of BB

I say finally try COMING DOWN AGAIN I hear ya- why can't solo efforts be included in the mix? Springsteen has no problem with it e.g. Better Days, Lucky town, etc... QuoteSpud FWIW I've found Totally Stripped to be perhaps the best balanced of all the archive live and "vaults" releases. It sounds almost like a wonderfully good audience recording ...and what else could you ask of a live album ? Agreed - and now let's hope for a better (than VL-U.) release of "Voodoo lounge in Japan"... to do this great, great world tour (ex
