Quoteswiss hey @MisterDDDD - hope you've been well Your posts of tributes seem majorly appreciated for so many people here. I'll probbaly come back and visit them in the future, and for now because I'm processing the way I tend to, I literally can't take in any additional info yet except what fans here on IORR and friends otherwise are posting - as you say, "the show mus

Quotedownagain I've read a number of comments from people feeling a bit silly that they are so upset regarding the passing of someone they never met. Aside from saying that there's nothing wrong with feeling what you're feeling, I'll leave a quote I read when Bowie passed. "We mourn our musical heroes not because we knew them but because they helped us know ourselves.

And... Charlie is unquestionably the motor that has driven all Stones songs and a HUGE contributor to the music and the ongoing brotherhood. Anyone who has played in a rock band knows how subtle changes by the drummer can lead the band in both energy and tempo but also in dynamics and emotion. A simple fill may be taken for grated by a casual listener (or a super fan!) but it sets up the next

QuoteWitness Addressing Naturalust's post: According to that logic, the band that set out with Mick Taylor as solo guitarist, ought to have changed their name. At least one prominent poster here seems to be of that opinion. I understand your interpretation of my logic but Brian was not contributing to the music or the business so replacing him was a respectable business and creative decisi

The Rolling Stones are no more. Period. The band that may or may not form out of the ashes CANNOT call themselves The Rolling Stones and continue to have my respect. Sad and empty today. RIP Charlie.

QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteNaturalust Quotetimbernardis a little overdramatized and weak diatribe. plexi Really? Yes, Really. Except "little" was being extremely generous. If it was Keith with some competent guitarist taking over for him for a few shows the drama would be intense. I just think that Charlie is such an essential part of the Stones that it is ludicrous to perform

Quotez QuoteNaturalust [...] 3. Because Steve Jordan doesn’t lift his cymbal or hi hat stroke when he plays the snare drum on the backbeats and will never tell Mick or Keith to f-off when they need to be checked. [...] Naturalust Watch this: Damn, not really surprised, Jordan can do it all. Thanks z. My guess is he learned the technique to play with Keith.

Quote24FPS My local library called to tell me they have the Goats Head Soup deluxe set for me to borrow. I very much want to hear the Blu Ray CD version of GHS. I want to see if it's even better than the SHM CD of the new remix. Plus I'd like to hear the Brussels CD and see if it sounds better than the streaming download I have. BluRay Dolby 7.1 is exceptional , BluRay LPCM Stereo

Hate to hear that the new mix has too much reverb! Thankfully there are some ways to fix that with a DAW. There are plug-ins that actually reduce the reverb in a mix and for those without there are a few tricks which may help reducing the reverb. It involves creating tracks which are the SUM of the L and R tracks (basically a mono track) and a track which is the difference of the L and R track

Yes Keith has a few problems playing live these days, perhaps it's a hearing problem or a neurological problem in the timing from what he hears to translate to his fingers, which themselves are not as nible as they used to be, or sensory overload with all the stuff happening on a Stones stage BUT.... If you listen to keith playing by himself, noodling around, playing acoustic numbers, rec

Greeting all. Been a while and I am happy to see my Euro friends getting their expectations met and IORR providing the super community for an exciting buildup. I am so glad The Rolling Stones are a part of the present and future that I often dream of them. Usually in some party setting with instruments everywhere and Jagger dancing in the next room. The dancing is always there, can't see

Always loved Anita. The ultimate rock chick. Deeply saddened by her passing. Her era with the Stones produced all the magic music and I can't help think she was a part of it all. At one point they were all trying to impress Anita. Although it is good and classy that she never wrote a book, I get the feeling that she had the best of the Stones stories....now we only have the legend. peace
