I was thank-god lucky enough to see Jeff Beck in at least 10 different lineups starting in 1969. While BBA was not my favorite, they positively astonished me on several occasions, most notably one very very late evening at the Tower Theater. This Felt Forum show was only the third concert I ever recorded and suffers from rookie mistakes like running out of tape for the encore. Sorry. The fidel

Damn. I was listening to the Big Town Playboys yesterday. I got to say "hello" at the "Throwaway" video shoot and concert where he did a supernatural version of "Oh Carol". His Hollywood Bowl 50th Anniversary DVD is a wonder to behold. Since you get points for coolness, don't even pretend to think anyone was ever as good as Jeff Beck. Not Jimi, not Chet,

Merry Christmas. Yes, this could be labelled a "demo" but I'll leave that to others. Simply stated, Mick Taylor could sure make things "special". Link good for 7 days.

Good things come to those that wait. But seriously, 50 years? I attended the Bijou Cafe show with Gram Parsons and The Fallen Angels. I liked the GP album a bunch and the Keith connection was the hook. The Bijou was an appropriately named jewel of a concert facility where I had witnessed great shows ranging from the likes of Toots and The Maytals, Georgie Thorogood, David Letterman and th

Don't quite know what to say. My absolute favorite. An amazing human being. Unforgettable. May he rest peacefully in "Paradise".

Happy Birthday Chuck Berry!! Lots of fun there. I know nothing about this song, which came "titled" this way. Better ears than mine will love tearing this track apart...but I am forced to wonder if the second guitar is Brian Jones on some early version of a Vox wah-wah. In any case, call the neighbors and enjoy this beauty. Link good for 7 days.

At last! Received my book yesterday. I think the guys at the customs department poured over it for a few weeks. As everyone has said, this is a labor of fanatical love which will serve as the definitive reference work for what was a high point in the history of the band. What a tour that was, and this book serves as a heavily detailed diary of every show. Related bootlegs, photos, ticket stubs

Good day all. I am very happy so many people are enjoying this track so much. I know nothing of its genesis. What I DO know, is that the person or persons who "released" the Fully Finished Outtakes were seriously misguided as to the most important tracks to include. "Stroke me darling"

Oh yeah, This goes to the top of my summer reading list. I know the author did an extensive amount of deep research. In my circle of friends, when we say "the tour", it is clearly understood which tour we're talking about. There were certainly no filters in those days. ...they are a way of life"

Helpful hint: record distributors got the album on Monday. And if you know the wrong people... Spoiler alert: guess who plays piano on Worried Life! At the Keith/ Bobby Keys birthday party after Hampton '81 show, I saw Bob Clearmountain standing next to the Saxophone cake and simply told him, "Man, you got great ears." Still true. I'm also reminded of the Country Club

One glorious evening in 1994 I was fortunate enough to be invited into THE Voodoo Lounge. Keith was overdubbing some guitar parts to what I believe was "Jump On Top Of Me Baby" (all we could hear in the "lounge" area was the drum track). It was a festive group which included one Jim Price. He was extremely friendly and I thanked him profusely for the 17 evenings we spent &q
