I am so saddened to hear this news Sending the most sincere condolences to her family and real world friends. Also to the rest of the group here. We've lost someone special for sure. R.I.P. Debbie Tiger/GlimmerGirl24

I heard it said one time that "all of God's creatures sing. Some sound like songbirds and some sound like bullfrogs. But all sing beautifully if you are able to understand their song." One may prefer the sound of one singer to another as it's subject to one's preference. But to say someone can't sing simply because one doesn't prefer the sound is, in my op

Apparently I've been "out of it" for the last 20 years. One of the drummers I work with just turned me on to The New Mastersounds yesterday and I've been grooving along ever since. Reminds me of the Meters. Hard to believe these guys AREN'T from NOLA. Their musical influences seem to be.

Sad to hear... Their corporate offices are close to where I live and a couple of friends work(ed) in their accounting department.

Quotestickyfingers101 my dog's name is "Jagger" incidentally, that's how/why we chose him at the shelter. Shelter Dogs Rule! Similar to our pup... What breed? Our two year old German Shepherd was named "Mick Jagger" by the breeder we got him from. After months of research & looking, it was his name that got us in the car to go meet him. His personalit

Quotetonyc Great news about the new dates. Knoxville is an hour away so no long road trip for a change. I doubt the last U.S. show ever will be Kansas City so I would expect another batch in 2021 that maybe even has some stadiums included. I work 10 and live 40 minutes from Thompson Boling Arena... Hopefully we'll both get in to the show! If I can get tickets to Tommy Emmanuel @ the

Hope everyone attending has a great time! I'll be enjoying the solstice in E. TN while my heart will be longing to be in Chicago! Quick question for all going to the show... Does the show start at 8:30 or is that when the Stones are due onstage? An 8:30 opening act seems late... Thanks Peace, Mr DJA

When was the solo version of "One More Shot" recorded? Maybe that surfaces as an extra/bonus.

Must say that I was pretty happy watching last night's game. Loving the trend that the Steelers are seemingly on. Hope to see it continue right up to and through early February of next year. Still a long way to go with much football to be played between now and then though. I wonder if Le'Veon Bell is having any regrets about the way his season is "playing out". As a

QuoteSKILLS because it's a very acquired taste in my experience. I have tried it a couple of times and haven't warmed to it. My Dutch neighbours eat it like cake I'm with SKILLS in that I haven't acquired the taste... I, and my family, was introduced to it by my "Swedish Sister" (whom some of you may have met at the IORR show in London). Knowing that we all enjoy

Quotekeefriff99 QuoteChris Fountain How can one even pull for either the Red Sox or Dodgers? Sickening. TV Ratings will not rise on this match up. folks are already making sure they don't accidently press the wrong remote buttons. How? Well, I live in New England so it's quite easy to root for the Red Sox! And fun too! I'm in Tennessee and find it really easy as well...

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotebuttons67 i agree, he is a bass player, not as if the band never had a bass player before. hes more than just a backing musician. all this nonsense about, whos a full member, whos part member and whos just not a real member is a bit confusing. it was so simple in the beginning, 5 equal band members, why cant they make it simple now. I don't know if Stu

Quotekeefriff99 Quotemr_dja OK... So THAT wasn't the start to the season that I was looking for... Sure my Steelers can still go undefeated but... a tie with Cleveland? Really? Kudos to Cleveland though... Best start to a season since 2004... And finally breaking their losing streak... without actually winning. OK, that's all I've got... I'm feeling WAY to exposed

Since this thread is back on the main page, I'll just plug my band's gig for tonight. Although there are youtube videos available, I don't think I'm actually in any of them (band has been around in various formats since 2005+/-). The Doug Harris Band will be at Two Doors Down in Maryville, TN from 10p-2a EDT (118 E Broadway Ave, 37804). If you happen to be in the E. TN

In my mind, it all comes down to Ian Stewart, who, as an original Stone, was allowed to make decisions on his own. It was him that demanded and, as "road manager" most likely arranged for an acoustic piano to be on stage. I have a feeling that the band viewed it as "his instrument". Chuck is a hired keyboard player. He gets what he is allowed or allotted. If I had to

Personally, I find that much of what I hear on MANY subjects is just as well forgotten. This is no exception.
