I just saw the new Pirates trailer and Capt.Teague is back! It looks like it might just be a quick bit in the beginning of the film, though, and was probably filmed the last time around.

I went to the Hard Rock Cafe here in D.C. last week and saw that they had one of his shirts on display. He wore it here on the Steel Wheels Tour. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICK! (It's still the 26th here in the States.)

It's a hysterical thread! (They didn't write Time Is on My Side, though.) The poor soul hasn't gotten any answers yet. I'm too busy laughing to formulate mine yet!

Me, too, Highwire! the LaserDisc version is so much clearer than the VHS, which was pitiful. The portions in the museum hallways are still a bit murky, though. One of my favorite funny bits is when Bill steals Paul McCartney's MBE: "They never gave us any of those, did they, Mick? Well, I'll have mine anyway!" I don't know. Can you get Too Much Blood and Undercove

Does anybody know why the original version of this song was replaced on later pressings of the LP and later on the CD with a different recording?

I love this song! It's a great opener and genuinely creepy. Mick has a great time. I still have to play it every Halloween. It does sound a little satanic and does have a "fire and brimstone" lyric (love the way Mick delivers that line, too), but is mostly about death itself. God knows Keith, for one, has danced with Mr. D. often enough. As far as the album itself, some of th

I don't quite get parents being all that concerned with their older kids hearing curse words on Stones records. Little ones, yeah, I suppose so. How old were you when you first heard those songs - and hoped that your parents wouldn't hear them! You know they hear all that stuff at school anyway. Laying down the law about them not using them is another matter. You think any of Mick&

According to Ronnie, Mick J. DID ask him if he would consider the job the same night that Mick T. told Mick he was leaving. Ronnie says he told him then that he couldn't leave Rod and Mick said he understood, but there was a lot of "What am I gonna do?" in his talk and manner. They started auditioning guys before Ronnie decided to become available, and, of course, even though it&#

The Stones' original contract gave ownership of the songs to the publishing company, not to the band (or worse yet, to Mick & Keith). They dismissed that clause when they signed the contract, as not applying to them because they didn't write songs then and didn't think that they ever would. If Andrew Oldham hadn't locked them in the kitchen... Of course, they get the r

Hi. Leah. Welcome to the Stones family! What's your favorite album so far? Have you had a chance to listen to them all? Mine has changed throughout history, but has remained Bridges to Babylon for some time. Some of the mid-70's albums are not my favorites, I have to say. I think the more recent ones are much better (Voodoo till today). But if you haven't listened enoug

Re: HIGHWIRE: I'm sorry, but it's "hot guns and cold, cold lies", not "nights". It's love that song, too. Re: Star Star: Did they also censor the last part about John Wayne, as on the original release? Just how many re-masters can you put out, anyway? I never heard Sympathy censored. Sometimes Mick leaves out a verse in any given song. Personal pronou
