the rolling stones
tittle : fast talking
label : VGP-237

excelent collection of studio numbers, including two outtakes and eleven unreleased songs,
recorded between 1972 and 1979.
i always loved the song "tops" from "tatto you" album. This cd contains a remarcable instrumental version of that song. the best outtake I've ever heard of "tops".
and the great mick singing on "fast talking" (what a splendid song ! ).

lineage : silver - wav (eac) - flac (frontend) - torrent - you

ROLLING STONES - MOVIN' NORTH 1965 - PAL DVD - "REPOST"

Have had someone asking if I could put this one up again - so why not ?
Another good reason is that it's for sale on some sites (BAD !!!) so it's better to be able
to get it here for free - if you want it !!!
---------

This is more like a documentary with cuts from arriving at airports, interviews, hotel rooms,
backstage & on stage. It covers the first times Stones visited the Nordic countries; Denmark,
Finland, Norway & Sweden in 1965. A short cut (0:40 sec.) arriving in Denmark June 26th is
in color, the rest is in B&W.

Most of it are copied to my HD from VHS video tapes in very good quality (1st & 2nd gen.)
(see screenshots). The short Finland cut are from an avi-file found on the net.

Some parts had just noise or where silent and some had officially/original Stones songs played in
the background that had to be removed for DIME rules. Those parts are replaced with recordings
from the great rebroadcast from L'Olympia Theatre, Paris 18 April 65 seeded here on DIME earlier:

In the parts where they play on stage it's in no way the correct song that are dubbed in - sorry !

There was very different audio volume on the clips and I've tried to make them more equal, still
a little low in the part where Danish fans are preparing questions for Stones, especially young girls
often talk with low voice ;-)

What you get:
--------------------------------
1 & 2. DENMARK (Time: 13:29)
- 1965 June 26 arrival in Denmark (1)
- 1965 March 25 Danish fans making questions & Stones answering (12:49)
3 & 4. SWEDEN (Time: 13:16)
Short version from STV 1 (2:58) + Longer version from 1 gen.VHS
- 1965 April 1 arrival of MJ, BW & CW at Bromma Airport, Stockholm (2)
- Hotel Palace footage from hotel room (3)
- Press conference at Hotel Palace
- Backstage before the show
5 & 6. NORWAY (Time: 10:30)
Short version NRK + Longer version from 2 gen.VHS
- 1965 June 23 arrival at Fornebu (Oslo’s airport)
- Outside Sjølysthallen June 24
- Inside Sjølysthallen June 24 (4) + (5)
7. FINLAND (Time: 1:36)
Finish TV YLE
- 1965 June 25 arrival at airport in Finland
TOTAL TIME 39 min

All "inserted" songs are from 18 April '65 - L'Olympia Theatre, Paris (rebroadcast)
(1) = Everybody Needs Somebody To Love (0:40)
(2) = Time Is On My Side (2:58)
(3) = Off The Hook (1:47)
(4) = I'm Alright (3:38)
(5) = Around and Around (1:36)
Menu song = Time Is On My Side (0:28)
------------------------------

Been working on this for some time and this is how good I could get it, much of the work was
first time for me so I hope you just take it as it is and ENJOY !

Oh it's your only version, well, if so, I completely why you dig it. Excellent show and recording. But there are better and more real sounding versions of this, than the Tarantura bootleg

1989-12-09
Silverdome-Pontiac, Mich.

Recorded By: Robert Mullen (lvrwm)

Source: Audience Master Cassettes

Transfer Date: 2008-08-15

Equipment/Transfer:

2 DAK-5245 Mics>Sony WM-D6c Cassette Recorder (Dolby C on)>Master
Cassette's (Sony UX-Pro-90's)>Yamaha Double Cassette Deck K-902
(Dolby C on)>CD Wave Editor>THL flac level 8.

Comments:

We were located at the small loge deck beneath the upper deck, at about
3:30 O'Clock (stage being at 12) stage left side, I believe 2nd row. The
recording came out pretty decent, the crowd around us (which included
families with kids) were just about silent the whole show. Sound improves
as the concert progressed, due to mixing adjustments I presumed.

Recorder's Note:

I de-coded the Dolby C for this transfer as it helps reduce the noise
level and echo for the recording from this giant cavern. In this case,
the Dolby C de-coded was the way to go for best sound from this recording
(IMHO).
