Some lovely stuff all... this is simply the best thread ever!

I've been scoring lots of new stuff... some random stuff to follow...

A 1965 US Press Conference invite.

This deal I have been working on for more than 10 years... No less than fifteen amazing Birds posters in one haul. This is my favourite:

When will you open a museum Matt?

This is nearly where it all began for me... a long story but I was studying in the US and went out to LA to stay with a friend. We heard the Stones were at the Sunset Marquis so went down there but had missed them of course. It was my first ever attempt to be in the same place at the same time! We ended up in Shattered Bob's shop on Sunset and he took me into the back room. It was an emporium of some of the finest Stones posters and displays I had ever seen in person. I had only ever seen stuff in books at that point... sadly I was still a student and nothing was in budget let alone for sale. Perhaps if I hadn't been there that day I would never have ended up with a house full of stuff and storage units on both sides of the atlantic...(I might even have a girlfriend too!)

Harm asked: When will you open a museum Matt?

Actually sharing my passion with others is the best pleasure I get from it. Contrary to popular belief I don't sit at home alone stroking my memorabilia. I love it when people, often from IORR, contact me when they are in London. I always try to make time to show anyone interested my collection as perhaps some here will testify. They are perhaps better placed to tell you if it's worth the visit to Ealing. I certainly enjoy it....

I am always buying too if anyone has stuff to sell! mattleeuk@gmail.com

Indeed I recognise that poster Andreas, you must have got it from a great source :-)

Often the simplest things are the best... I had never even seen one of these before Friday and now I own one :-)

Another rarity, German 16mm movie of the European 1976 tour, about 20 min long. Interviews with all the bandmembers and performances of the concert in Kiel (Germany).

Great!!! Any chance to digitalize it? (Kiel is 80 km from here...)

Btw: All the Black and Blue promo videos were shot at the empty Ostseehalle in Kiel!

I´m really historically interested in it. It´s the only
ever show in Schleswig-Holstein (county) here in Germany.

I don't know if this 166mm movie contains unseen footage. Has anyone here seen this screens before?

That pic of Jagger from 16mm looks like the clip where he gets pissed off at interviewer.

You hardcore guys who make up this thread are just amazing. arc-Angel, Matt, steffiestones - where do you find these things???

Yes, it's available on boot DVD in great quality allready. It's "Stones on the Road"
The footage comes from Glasgow & Leicester, not Kiel.

Its not bad news, offcourse it was better if it was unseen footage. I have also Charlie is my Darling on 16mm, original end sixties early seventies 15 inch reel. Will post pics of that next monday.
