The 100,000 views is up! I hope it is a record (not a vinyl one), worst case it is a fantastic tribute to the great collector Mr John boy Rutherford who started this thread and sadly doesn't post here anymore.

I promise I have plenty more in my attic to keep this thread alive and well!

The only "rarity" I have, besides original vinyl sleeves, old Creem, Crawdaddy, Rolling Stones mags from the 60s, 70s etc....
is a ticket stub from 1966 for the Houston Colesium. I found it in a flea market years ago and the older Hispanic woman looked at and said, 'fifty cents'
She had no idea. Inside, it had old Beatles newspaper clippings.

I forgot, the ticket was inside a plastic bag in a vintage Stones tour program from that year. I didn't even know they had programs then.

This thread has gone too many pages down again so we need to pull it up a bit.

I have today added an old LP to my collection. This one is soo old that even CD records did not exist when it was made.

We'r talking August-September 1964. Decca Record Company in England used to press up small sets of American versions of Stones LP's. This is the second US LP 12x5 that was issued on October 24th 1964 in the US.
Decca pressed the first 12x5 LP's even before they have decided on the cover. So Decca just used what was available, and that was only the picture used on the first LP. This LP was pressed in both Mono and Stereo, mono being far more easy to find and I found myself a Stereo copy the other daysmiling smiley Now included in my stonesondecca collection. I'm smiling today

Do you know how many were pressed?

I have seen this early Decca 12x5 years ago and thought it was poor quality on the sleeve so I didn't bought it. Must have been around 1970. I was quite happy with my German Decca Around and Around..

I have no idea on how many LP's they pressed of this one. I'd say less that 500 pcs. I base this estimation on the fact that the UK Promotional Album is on the bay once or maximum twice a year and this 12x5 Stereo may be for sale 2-3 times a year. They pressed 200 copies of the UK Promotional... so

The same vinyla can also be found in the official US 12x5 cover but it is extremely rare even in the official sleeve

Hi, currently everybody is looking to Keith's signed book, but look at this here. It arrived finally this week - the signed edition of the Wingless Angel box. An excellent box, really nice and there are only 100 of them signed by Keith.
