Harm asked: Is this a regular guitar or a very small one?

A regular one that Ronnie owned / played at home since the mid 80's (it is one of the first guitars ESP made for Ronnie, numbered under 20)

He painted it about a year ago.

I pulling out some Birthday treats now to help get this thread to 100,000 views :-)

A Custom US Fender signed by the whole band and Martin Scorsese. Jagger has written "Thanks TRL" as this was originally given away as a prize on Total Request Live.

Congrats mattleeuk!
You have probably been asked this before,
but who has the most valuable collection? You or stone_relics?

Great stuff by the way!

TomR,

The answer is; both are the most valuable to their respective owners! i.e. stone-relics collection is more valuable to him and mine is more valuable to me. We both have very different collections.

stone-relics is a vinyl completest but I collect items across all formats without seeking to be complete in any. I focus on items that were never for sale, i.e. press kits, promo posters, concert posters and handbills, shop displays, passes, autographs, promo CD's and records etc... I do collect vinyl but I am not a completest but I do have many of THE essentials:

US Street Fighting Man
US Beast of Burden
UK Promo Album (RSM1)
US Promo Album (RSD1)
Rock'n'Roll circus cover Promo Album
Japanese 73 Tour Promo Album
Lots of Decca Demos etc...

I am also a bit of a low number collector and have the No.1 copies of, Saint of Me, Out of Control, Don't Stop, Sympathy for the Devil, Plundered My Soul, and Goddess In The Doorway.

Collecting is a personal thing, I buy, beg, trade for the stuff that I like (I also collect The Faces and The Birds).

Whatever you collect, enjoy it!

Do you collect only stones memorabilia? No Beatles,...?

Re: Add Photos of Your Rarities

I only collect Stones, Faces, Birds (and solo Stones) with my full force of my passion. I do however have a few items from other artists but nothing significant in terms of quantity. I have a fully signed Beatles concert programme, a pair of Keith Moon drums, a Keith Moon cymbal, and a few rare signed books by other acts but not a lot else.

Did John tell you how little he gave for it?

What piece of vinyl did you have to let go in return?

Vic, yes he did... he grabbed it with me in mind :-) I gave up a Decca Demo and chucked him in a very low numbered Sympathy as a thank you.

Here is something there is only one of and by tomorrow it won't exist...

My Birthday cake :-) (arranged by my very sweet girl)

I can't believe that you're going to destroy a one off limited edition!
Perhaps we IORRians can raise a fund so that we can save it for posterity?
I'll put 50p into it!

Happy Birthday, by the way.

This is probably one of the last white matte RIAA awards. White matte awards are produced until 1975, then they statrted with 'floater' awards.

This is my RIAA floater award for love you live presented to Charlie Watts.

RIAA floater award black and blue presented to Stu.

Mattleeuk, it wouldn't happen to be you who bought the #5 numbered white album by the beatles on eBay a while back?

Number 1-4 was/is owned by the beatles themselves as I recall it.

TomR, No, it wasn't me. I don't collect the Beatles. I did think about buying a top 10 one though a while back that was relatively attractively priced (as these things go) but I didn't pull the trigger.

Alex, don't worry there is plenty more... (I just have real problems remembering what I have already posted).

Let's get this thread to 100,000 views and start working on the next 100,000 :-)
