no no i mean: i didn't mean you meant anything wicked, Honestman - i just meant i'm confused.

Erik Snow and jeanmarie have de-confused me, though - yes, it is indeed a different shirt,
but not *very* different, so plainly my friend Shad simply got it mixed up with the real Toronto shots.

thanks for clarifying, everybody! i'll remove that shot from my earlier post to keep the historical record straight.

Honestman, I have a question: the Frankfurt shot on previous page, where Keith's mouth is swelling because of teeth problem; is that from the same gig, where we have the famous picture of Keith with his scarf over his face? I think you posted that shot in the "Fave Keith pic" thread. It's the one used n the cover of "Seid Ihr Wach" CD.

Previously unpublished photo of Mick Jagger singing Midnight Rambler saturated in red lights. Claire Brothers Sound and Lighting from Pennsylvania handled the Stones tour. (june 29, 1975) posted on "MY SPECTRUM MEMORIES" web blog....

Hi Palace Revolution 2000,

i don't want to spoil the thread with 1976's pics, but to answer to your question,(hope the others will forgive me) i will make an exception.
From the same French magazine BEST (An awesome one), there's only two pics from this show

here it is

And for the shot posted in The Fav Keith Thread, i think you mean this one,
I'm not sure that's from the same gig,(It's not mentionned in the book, but i think so)

again from the same magazine and same photographer for both pics
Jean-Yves LEGRAS

The other pics i've posted for Keith with the scarf are taken from Rock'n'folk
and Best again and there are not Live show pictures, there are for the front cover of the magazines only (Studio Pictures and well known)!

could Mick's vocals have not have gotten sloppy this tour simply to the amount of running around? he seemed out of breath so much these shows and had never had to cover so much real estate before and for so many hours at one time--just a thought

HB, are you aware that you can probably purchase a print copy of this image from the NY POST? Did you scan the news article, or is this a print. What a great moment! 13 years old, enjoying the STONES in their HOMETOWN venue, and having it documented for posterity...Congratulations!

Roger--I think I'll have my publisher buy it from corbis for this book i'm doing - short stories from life - thanks for noticing, could not have said it any better than you did

and i mean it--your shots are incredibly special--truly definitive of the era--can only happen by having the "eye"

Roger's shot of Jagger at the backstage entrance of the old Spectrum is quite compelling - grim, industrial--it's a stark contrast to the bath of light and sound that will immerse Jagger later on -- amazing photo

Roger--did you see/shoot soundcheck in Philly?

HB, regarding the sound check--great question.

I had been assisting with the set up all day...unloading their trucks (we actually had a plastic-packing-peanuts sperm fight inside the trucks, when we asked to get the boxes containing the Phallic ejaculate.) The particles were flying and floating everywhere.

I was constantly sneaking backstage (not actually sneaking because during a movein, everything is so chaotic, nobody knows who or what belongs back there) with a camera hidden in a brown paper bag, hoping they would do a sound check.

It was about 5pm. The images from Geraldo's Rolling Stones' Special on ABC stayed with me,as they featured interviews with Jagger during their rehearsals. Unfortunately, they never did a rehearsal Ninety minutes later they arrived-- driving their own cars! Mick was in a yellow station wagon.

Ronnie Wood rode in the police vehicle (a jeep) escorting the entourage into the city. A traffic cop, who was married to my first cousin drove the vehicle, while Wood told him that he's a collector of policeman's badges, and has them from all over the world. The officer found an old badge for him. He said Ronnie was a nice guy and a lot of fun.

More on the sight of Keith behind the wheel of a Beige Bently, sipping Jack Daniels, while Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and a Stones assistant were packed into the auto after the first show, preparing to drive back to New York.

A couple of weeks later, Richards with the Bentley got into an accident in Arkansas. Let's just say, I know how that happened. hahaha.

Gov. Michael Hucklebee, recently ( a few months ago) said on his Fox TV news show, "I pardoned Keith Richards for that accident, now I'm hoping he'll repay the favor by appearing on my show."

But if it was A Bentley then any wonder the local sheriff turned around and came back......
