THE hallowed Shrine of The Republic of Texas. Where Davy Crockett and 300 hardcore badasses held off 2 million drug-crazed Mexicans for a month until they ran out of food and ammo and were subsequently killed. I wonder who has those kind of balls these days. It brings a tear to my eye I tell ya.

Sorry if I appear a bit homophobic, but I've always thought Ronnie looks a little too light in the loafers in this pic. eye rolling smiley

Charlie does talk too much. That's such a funny bit left out from that Time magazine article about that. And Exile was recorded in the sub-below-basement, which is the basement BELOW THE ALAMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

yep, back in the early 80s.....he wasn't allowed to play in San Antonio again until 1994.

also in '75 San Antonio was on of the cites that had a real problem with the Stones inflatable penis stage prop

>> Why did they take these photos? <<

er ... because they were there.

(it was a photo op. the other tourists got annoyed at having to wait for the photographers to finish.
you can read about it in Chet Flippo's book.)

Strange, looking at this picture again.
I'm sure there are some publicity shots of the group circa 1968 (i.e with Brian) which are almost similiar in a strange way.
Then- taken in what looks to be some sort of English stately home; also Brian holding a cricket bat; others fielding!
The perils of show-biz.

The legend says that before letting him go a cop asked Ozzy what he'd think if someone was peeing on Buckingham Palace.
Ozzy supposedly answered "I don't care, I don't live there"
