hey skip, just me tryin to be funny...

On the subject of photographs, I've often hypothesized that Mick Jagger has had his picture taken more than any other person in the world. Really, I think this is true. Who would outrank him??

Since no one else applauded this post, I will -- bravo! My favorite scene in that movie, cheers.

Adobe. My grandmother made chicken adobo. Now my girlfriend makes it. I think chicken adobo tastes better than Alamo adobe.

....I can't hear that song "Tequila" without seeing Pee Wee dancing in (or rather, on) the biker bar

I have been known to go to Alamo Plaza and shout "The stars at night are big and bright" and more than a few people will reply deep in the heart of Texas....just like the movie.

the shoot 'em dead, brainbell jangler!

In "The Rolling Stones on Tour" by Annie Leibovitz, Christopher Sykes (photos), Terry Southern (text) plus introduction by Mick Jagger (Dragon's Dream 1978) a different picture is chosen. On page 34 Bill is kneeling as in your picture but Charlie standing.
It is a superb book on the 1975 tour from the rehearsals at Warhol's Montauk home onwards.
The line under the picture reads: 'Big Quid tries to make a few bucks by selling "The Boys at the Alamo Story"'. Big Quid was the nickname of their then tour manager Pete Rudge (who, I think, had managed the tours of Led Zeppelin before).
