So you've seen Taylor play with the Stones but are STILL dismissive of those who would consider him as a suitable replacement for Ronnie!

What freaking planet are you on?

STILL dismissive?! that was freaking 34 years ago!
dismissive? yes, there's a german phrase saying stl this:
One shouldn't distribute the bears fur, before he's hunted down.

go and read Gazza's posts on page 8 - he rally nails it and I have nothing to ad.

...and I'm on planet earth, dunno about you.

end of transmission.

Am I missing something here?

Micawber expresses an OPINION about something, supporting it with a quite detailed argument which you choose to dismiss with a one-liner.

No reasoning, no explanation, nothing at all. Just piss and wind.

So what actually IS your viewpoint on this? Or are you going to be hanging on to Gazza's coat tails for the rest of your life?

Hey - leave me out of this or I'll piss in your bird seed....

isn't the reason that mick hangs with the whores is because they keep their mouths shut?

Is this the evidence that teen vamp who stole Ronnie Wood's heart has posed naked for him?

By Richard Peppiatt
Last updated at 1:34 AM on 14th July 2008

Ronnie Wood's family hoped it was an empty boast when his new teenage companion said she was his girlfriend and had posed for him in the nude.

But this picture of a naked girl recently painted by the Rolling Stones guitarist, and now for sale in a gallery near his Irish mansion, suggests she was right.

The 61-year-old rock star is offering the painting, believed to be of 19-yearold Kazakhstan-born cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova, for £8,000.

Yours for £8,000: Photography Nude 11, from Wood's exhibition, believed to be of 19-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova

Vamping it up: Ekaterina Ivanova is pictured sucking her thumb suggestively in one of seductive snaps

Entitled Photography Nude 11, it is one of 60 of his paintings on show in Gallery Number One in Dublin - 20 miles from the house in County Kildare to which Wood fled with the teenager.

Wood, who has a long and well-documented addiction to alcohol, left behind his wife Jo and their four children at their home in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. He is said to be drinking two bottles of vodka a day.

Gallery staff say the guitarist, who is worth an estimated £70million, has yet to visit his exhibition, preferring to visit the surrounding pubs.

They added that the nude picture had attracted a lot of interest from fans although he has not revealed the identity of the sitter. 'He rarely does with his muses.'

Refuse to grow up: The teenager poses in a Mickey Mouse and Peter Pan T-shirt

Friends of the star say they have no idea when he will return from Ireland with Miss Ivanova, whom he met while drinking as he celebrated the launch of the Stones film Shine a Light in April.

Her former boyfriend accused Wood yesterday of stealing her from him after pursuing her with a series of phone calls and texts.

Chris Kiely, 26, a music technician, said: 'It was unbelievable. She would be at my place and get a call from Ronnie. She'd go off and meet him in some swanky bar and wouldn't come back.

'He started inviting her to Ireland. She also modelled for his paintings and he told her she would get a cut if any of them sold. I was a bit jealous - I couldn't really compete.

'You never think you are going to lose your gorgeous girlfriend to a wrinkly old man - but that's exactly what happened. When she's had a few drinks, Katia is quite funny and she was cheeky to him.

Troubled homecoming: Ronnie Wood faces a tense showdown with wife Jo (right) after his liaison with 18-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova

'He's very charming by all accounts. I felt a bit weird about it, but I didn't think I had to worry about a man of 61 - even if he does have a lot of money.'

Mr Kiely claimed that the teenager had even accompanied Wood to rehab where he was being treated for his drink problem.

Miss Ivanova is herself an amateur artist who has illustrated several children's books and has begged the Stone to help secure her a publishing deal.

Her mother yesterday pleaded with her to return home to London. Irina Ivanova, 48, who works as a housekeeper, moved to Britain six years ago.

She said: 'I know they had a special sort of relationship. But I didn't realise to what extent. I thought they only worked together. She said that Ronnie asked her to model for him. He wanted to draw her.'

She added of Wood: 'What does he think he's doing? He's old enough to be her grandfather. He needs to send her back before things get out of control and either she gets hurt or his family do.'

Read my other posts - reveal who was going to replace Ronnie for the Licks tour. Until then, I am up to date on the Stones. No one has shown anything at all to what actually was happening - it's all been talk. Here. Which, as far as I'm concerned, it always has been. Even on Flicks Ronnie talks about getting out of rehab and being sober. Not a hint of being replaced in any regards from anyone - which they certainly could have talked about post-rehab/Ronnie is BACK etc...with cheeky hindsite.

So until YOU come up with something legit about Ronnie being replaced for the Licks tour, piss off. "Everyone knows"? Really? Prove it.

I did pay a visit in Gallery 1 in Dublin last month and saw the above painting as well. "Attracted a lot of interest from fans?" I´d say there were so many more interesting and better paintings, I could hardly remember seeing this particular one before reading this thread!
BTW, the Irish Independent reporter speculated during the opening time (18th June) why Ronnie didn´t come to the opening. If the quated text above is right, he didn´t go there at all.. That´s strange, I´d say

Can't believe there's ten pages of this discussion/argument/debate/war ...whatever.
All initially because Ronnie's latest lapse has attracted more column inches in the tabloids than previously...on account of it involving a yound Eastern European female in addition to the buckets of Guiness and vodka.
As far as I'm concerned it's simply another occasion on which to cross my fingers that Ronnie doesn't come to too much harm before clambering back on the wagon. It's always from the outside seemed to be be a two steps forward and one step back battle for Ronnie.
Of course it's worrying...and soul destroying for his familiy and friends...but we've been drawn in by the tabloid mentality on this occasion.

<<< it's simply another occasion on which to cross my fingers that Ronnie doesn't come to too much harm before clambering back on the wagon >>>

EXACTLY. In my opinion this is the perspective in which Ronnie's latest "antics" should be placed. All this other peripheral bullshit ... really ! Where the bloody hell does it all come from ? Sells papers and gets tongues a waggin' for sure, but as for the proportion of truth n' substance in it, I prefer to reserve judgement on that, and focus on the one "probable" truth at the root of it all, and that is that the man's taken a lurch and fallen off the wagon. So my fingers too are crossed, as are Spud's.

Looks bad for Ronnie now. Strange, I didn't give a shit when Jagger and Jerry divorced, but somehow this sounds more tragical - such as some years ago when Charlie and his wife were said to have ideas of separation.

"Cocktail waitress in a sleazy escort club, where reporters are offered a trip "upstairs for a ride"... Excuse me for asking, but is the young girl what we briskly and unrespectfully call a hooker, whore, prostitute?
I read some of the newspaper links again and there seems to be little doubt that prostitution is going on in that club she's working in.

Artists have a tradition for using prostitutes as models. Both painters and photographers. But seing the photos of that girl - I don't understand why Ronnie would want to paint her. (Unless it's for a children's book. She looks like a 9 year old who dressed up in her big sister's "working in the street" clothes.) Ronnie wouldn't leave Jo for that!
I don't doubt he's drinking, but rest of story...

Ronnie's just practicing the ancient art of heaving. In all seriousness, he is a nice guy (reputedly). Hope he gets well.

Got this in the mail... Dunno if they've talked with Jo.

LATEST: ROLLING STONES star RONNIE WOOD's wife JO has ended their marriage following his alleged relationship with an 18-year-old Russian waitress.
Last week 0Beg07Jul08) Jo Wood denied reports her rocker husband had reportedly left her for teenager Muscovite Ekaterina Ivanova after taking the teen on a romantic trip to Ireland.
But now his wife has declared their marriage is over - and has left a message on Wood's mobile phone telling him so, according to British newspaper The Sun.
A source tells the publication, "It's sunk in he's had an affair and she feels betrayed. They had such a strong marriage. He's thrown it all away with his stupid behaviour.
"Jo has been through the mill. She thought he was only drinking buddies with the girl and she was hanging around him for free drinks. Now everything has surfaced about how they met and Jo has hit rock bottom."
Earlier this month (Jul08), Wood reportedly promised to enter rehab again after wife Jo told reporters she feared he was losing his longterm battle with booze.

Damn. That's crazy. I mean it's probably good for Jo. Who really needs the aggrevation? It's bad for Ron though. If she leaves, he's seems like the kind of person that's likely to go to the dogs. Not exactly what he needs right now.

Here's to hoping that all turns out well for the Wood family.

This thread makes depressing reading.
I truly hope all turns out well for the Wood family. IF Ronnie returns to London today and IF he checks into the Priory and IF he sees no more of the Russian, then maybe, just maybe, Jo will once again forgive him. If not, I fear for his future, and indeed the Stones' future.

Hmm... I thought the silly season in the papers always used to be August. Perhaps this early start to it can be conected to global warming winking smiley.

Let's hope that the Sun has reported with its usual accuracy and restraint, making these 10 pages redundant.

It would indeed be useful if CindyC could summarise all threads so well, cheers Cindysmileys with beer

Listen up folks. The media are being used into shock Ronnie to stop and think for a moment about what he's doing. The problem is that he is in an extreme state of denial or just plain stubborn. I hope it helps get Ronnie back on the straight and narrow.
