I thought Ronnie smoked American Spirits.

He looks good. I guess.

He looks dazed.

Maybe it's really starting to hit him.

Damn.

Fingers crossed he gets himself together. I dare say there'll always be lapses.
It's part of his personality. The main thing is that they are short.
One of the features of Ronnie's alcoholism appears to be that he's an absolutely disastrous and dysfunctional drunk when he's on the pop.
I think that's the contrast with Keith and the reason that Keith perhaps doesn't understand Ronnie's individual problem... and doesn't appear to be very helpful or sympathetic on occasions.

Good man, Jesse! Here's hoping it's a good start to getting Ronnie out of whatever place he may have been in lately to his detriment.

this shit proves that the Stones need to be on tour. Ronnie requires Mick coach Jagger to be around.

Lots of "reportedly's" and "allegedlys" but this looks a bit more hopeful.

Let's face it. None of us ever became a fan of the boys because of the way they lived their lifes did we?

Let's enjoy the music and forget about their personal affairs.

I wonder guys HOW DO THEY SPEAK together.

I doubt that the girl is fluent in English.

One of the articles (I don't have time to find it right now) mentions that she speaks English with no accent, it implied that she's been living in the UK for most of her life.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

I agree with Beast about the speculation regarding a replacement! We don't want a REPLACEMENT, we want Ronnie to get sober and stay clean! That may not be a reasonable expectation but to be thinking prematurely of another guitar player is not a pleasant thought. I predict that with Jo and Jesse by his side, he leaves his altered state and things will smooth over . Crossed fingers!

How can Ronnie be broke?
The last i read, he was worth around £75M.
Even with a rock n roll lifestyle, it would be nigh on impossible to blow that ammount?
and regarding the age of consent in the US (statuatory rape),
Its a good job Bill Wyman wasnt living there in the 80s!
*Ive met Bill BTW-VERY nice and polite unassuming gentleman!

Speak for yourself. I became a fan because of their music. I dont need to live my live vicariously through someone else.

What music?

How can you 'forget' about their personal affairs when one of the band members, a 61 year one year man with an already pickled liver, is reportedly downing two bottles of vodka a day?

You cant divorce that from their music when the way things are shaping up, there might not BE any more to listen to.

But hey, as long as the guy lives up to his reputation, thats the main thing, eh?

He looks still cool. One of the best looking alcoholics in the entertainment business. And he's the living proof that drinking doesn't make a belly.

Well thats comforting news at least.eye rolling smiley. His liver might be f*cked and his lungs are about to collapse with emphysema, but at least he doesnt have a beer gut.

Unfortunately he's also living proof that being an alcoholic impairs your judgement

I can't even start to understand how it is to be an alcoholic, but still - Ronnie should get his act together. I pity him, but I'm also puzzled by the fact on how he can continously @#$%& up things that badly.

Regarding the story that George Thorogood was being secretly rehearsed to replace Ronnie in '81, I don't believe it at all. That story was reported (if you can call it that) originally in an article by Nick Kent, the same article that contained the fictional accounts of Keith slugging Ronnie onstage and hijacking the cherry picker for a "17 minute guitar solo". Nick Kent has ZERO credibility and I can't believe he didn't get sued for writing such trash. Not a word of truth in any of it.

There´s no wonder, Lorenz. Alcoholism is one of the worst diseases there is.
It takes control over body and mind. It´s so evil that your body craves it, it becomes a physical dependence. it´s very hard to control, so no wonder he continues to mess things up.

Because he is an alcoholic. It's a disease (just like any other addiction), and unfortunately there is no cure for it.

Yeah, I understand what you guys say. Still, it's somehow disappointing to see him giving up the fight every couple of years. It's very egoistic, I know, but I wish he'd rather focus on recording music.

Another story about Ronnie flying home. The photo caption says he's returned to his wife of 26 years, but the text says his marriage was for 23 years. So he must have only lost 3 years in an alcoholic haze...

But the best bit is the advert bottom right:

What gets me is...a day is long. A week is long. To be drunk that much every day. That's a hard way to live. To be out of your mind like that? That's crazy.
