I'm not too sure about the new champion but as Germany will be on 3rd position behind Croatia and Austria they'll travel home after 3 games, won't they? ;-)

Well since it's only been sixteen years since Denmark beat Germany in the finale, I guess it won't be this time!

There is no serious statistic for the Euro that it must be Germany but there is a statistic that it must be Germany as the next world champion!

There will be a real twist in the tail and a couple of days before the tournament starts, one of the teams will be disqualified and England will be given a wild card entry.

They will then go on to become the Euro 2008 Champions!

England a 'wild card'? England doesn't exist anymore (in soccer). They hire foreign coaches and players...They are like The Rolling Stones 2008.........they just don't know (and that is sad).

I think (and hope Italy). Not France - their manager was very derogatory of Scotland when we beat them in the qualifiers - TWICE!!! Italy were very complimentary of whatever team they play against and show respect to all of their opponents. IMO

Spain and Portugal are very dangerous. Very good palyers, now lets see if they are a team.

Thanks, Skelly!!! I've got to admit that France is a VERY good team though, even if their manager (who's got edge, by the way) dismissed Trezeguet...

After 44 years Spain will be the champion, a picture taken today, that team won Russia in 1964, first European Championship, pictures with the former champions and actual team, the other picture taken same day, 1964 when Spain won that cup. Great names with those champions, Luis Suarez, Gento, etc

Hi Carlitosbaez, if they would start to arrange a picture like that of yours below before: Those players seem to feel serious enough about it! Those guys didn't have a Champions League and were eager to become European champions. Maybe that's the reason why coincidently Spain will gain something like Greece and Denmark lately.

I agree with you, but we are historicaly like England, great players, great future, great leagues, great techniques and showbusiness and at the end NADA...
But lets see, the team is very young and with great experience, great player outside our Liga, as Cesc Fabregas, Torres, etc.
