This is from my "when I was in retail" days.

Musicians:
Nicest: Nicky Hopkins, Mitch Mitchell

Very Friendly: Donovan, Peter Frampton, Graham Nash, Dave Edmunds, Phil Everly,
Bobby Troup, Mark Volman, JAck Cassidy, Mickey Dolenz, Kevin Cronin (REO)

Not too friendly: Gene Simmons, John Fogarty, Tom Petty,
the guitarist from Toto (name?), Jackie DeShannon, Ernie Watts

The Worst: Don Henley

Actors:

Nicest: Shelley Fabres, Deforest Kelly, an actor from Dragnet
whose name I can't remember now, but a great guy, full of Jack Webb stories,
Robert Manden (from Soap},George Kennedy

Not friendly: Michael Richards, David Caruso, Cybil Shephard,
Tony Danza, Anthoney Newley, Ron Howard, Tom Bosley,
ALan ALda, Mike Farrell, Henry Winkler (Fonzie),
Chick Hearn (a bit of an ego), Jon Voight (very spaced out)

I'm forgetting a lot, but those are the ones that come to mind.
Don Henley was the worst of all. I've never met a more unfriendly human being.

Didn't she also have Colonic Irrigation live on TV or is that last night's bottle of 'Tudor Rose' coming back to haunt me?

Most of mine tend to be footballers, as I do some work at the N.Ireland home games - apart from our own team, the visiting players have included those from Spain, Czech Republic, Wales and several others as well as club sides like Rangers, etc when theyve been playing here too.

Amongst the most pleasant (most of whom I have photos with) - Alex McLeish, Paul Le Guen, Barry Ferguson, Fernando Hierro, Ryan Giggs, Cesc Fabregas, Jan Koller, Pavel Nedved, Gus Poyet and (contrary to public persona) Dennis Wise.

For other sports figures, I mentioned Muhammad Ali earlier, which was something as its quite a big deal to meet your all time hero. The snooker player Alex Higgins was very nice too - even bought me a drink. This was when he was still at the top and before he became something of a twat. A few politicians too, sometimes during the course of my job, other times at football events - some were OK. The sports minister and MP, Kate Hoey was probably the nicest.

Musicians - Keith (I was too awestruck to mutter anything intelligible but got a handshake), Charlie (an absolute gent - he started chatting to me about George Best), Mick Taylor (very pleasant), Bruce Springsteen (I almost poked his eyes out), Lou Reed (surprisingly affable), John mayall (a very very weird person), Nils Lofgren (like myself, small and well formed), Steve Earle (funny guy - we compared skull rings) & his future wife Allison Moorer (she smells fantastic), Lucinda Williams (a hug and a kiss), Carlene Carter (likewise), legendary guitarist James Burton (a delightful old fella). I sort of got a grunt from Mick Jagger but it would be a stretch to say I 'met' him. He seemed more focussed on the two girls standing near me who spoke to him, though! Plus, most of the Stones backing musicians (all of them very nice) and er...Michael Cohl, although I tend to keep that one quiet as I have a public image to protect. Plenty of others but those are the main personalised ones I can think of. I met Pete Doherty at the Ronnie Wood gig at Drury Lane and he pretended he was someone else. Knob. I suppose you could count Richard Branson as a music figure too - he seemed a very nice chap.

Really like the pensive photo of Erik and Adrian-L on Page 3.

Maybe discussing the merits of "I'm a King Bee" versus "Start Me Up"?

these names surprise me as not friendly! especially mike farrell, who is involved in humanitarian efforts.

i agree that mickey dolenz is very nice...

someone mentioned megadeth - i have a pic of me with dave mustaine.

my two-cents about kathy griffin - she sucks. someone questioned her wearing fur and her reply was one of a cold-hearted b*tch.

She absolutely is, I 100% agree. I still find her celebrity talk really funny though.

Nah... Not in Costa Rica.. Every once in a while we get a pic in the newspaper from Mel Gibson being drunk in a bar, but never met him. And believe me, those news come that often.

Sticking just to musicians but including a couple of tenuous ones (i.e. I shared an elevator with Brian May and used a stall next to Pete Doherty, although we did exchange a few words) my list is as follows (I have omitted the obvious backing musicians).

Mick Jagger
Keith Richards
Charlie Watts
Ronnie Wood
Bill Wyman
Mick Taylor
Slash
The Edge
Dave Gilmor
Bo Diddley
Jeff Beck
Sheryl Crow
Pete Doherty
Bob Geldorf
Brian May
Roger Taylor
David Bowie
Bjork
Jay Kay
Marianne Faithful
Noel Gallagher
James Blunt
David Gray
Andrea Corr
Rod Stewart
Mick Fleetwood
