I met Gazza once.
Same here. Twice actually. First day in London and then the next day at the Pilot. Great guy. A bit like an Irish Al Pacino if you ask me.
I got a medal hung around my neck by Danish footballer Martin Jørgensen in 1996 because the team I played for (Horsens Freja) won a tournament (Of course they did. I was on the team, and then you win).
I once ran after Charlie's car (Berlin 1998) going on a crossing street to the Kurfürstendamm. I waved at him when I reached the side of the car, and he waved back. But it's not really an encounter.
Haven't MET any big stars actually. Biggest must've been a comment I got from Michael Falch (Danish musician). I was holding my brother's bass flightcase and he walked by saying "Cool case man". Then he walked on. He was drunk.
Oh: I once told Pia Kjærsgaard from the political party Danish People's Party to go fvck herself.
I really, really loathe myself for never meeting Keith. I haven't had the chance either. Of course it would be fun to talk to Mick, Charlie, Ron, Taylor or Bill, but if there was one person in this whole damn world that I'd simply LOVE to meet, it would be Keith Richards. The man. Just 10 minutes with him sharing a beer and a cigarette and I could commit suicide right after. My life would be complete. To me there is no other person that is more interesting, cool or just plain great than this man. I'd cut my balls off with a rusty saw to get to speak to him. I don't mean this in a homosexual way (Not that there's anything wrong in that either), but I love Keith. He's the greatest.
If you see the Paul McCartney Back In The U.S. DVD there's a point when some 25 year old girl gets an autograph from Macca. He stops the limo and rolls down the window, and gives it to her. When he drives off she jumps up on her boyfriend while crying and screaming. I'd probably do the same if I met Keith.
