He won't. Last tour almost every song he played was written between 1963 and 1973. He might as well have been touring in support of Band On The Run.

Huge Stones fan, but as far as the ABB tour goes, Zeppelin at the O2 ate them for breakfast and wiped the floor with them, sorry to say. Even on the Licks tour the Stones didn't hit the comparative mark.

I concede a one-off show allows a band to harness greater resource for expression in a finite window, than ongoing tours of a protracted scale, but even then...

SD

There are many shows of the ABB Tour which have been much better than the Zep show @ O2.

Being able to pull off a good show when you play together once every 20 years isn't hard. I really doubt that if LZ played as often as the Stones their quality level would be even close to the Stones.

LZ were (are ? ) a great band, but the o2 gig hasn saved rock and roll, total bollix, as for coda saving anything ? double bollix. would i have liked to have been there ? fweck yes. will i try and get tickets if they tour double feck yes. but lets put it in perspective noughts been saved and anything that was wasnt feckin worth saving.

Its so tragic for the Zeps. Plant has done so much good stuff in the last 27 years and nobody really cares. It looks like he hasn't had a living between Bonham died and the 10th of december 07.

Yeah agreed. Zeppelin kicks major ass and so do the Rolling Stones. Simple as that.

"I find it very strange that after something like 20 years of inactivity all of a sudden a band have single handedly saved the face of Rock and Roll just by performing one gig."

Nostalgia is he antithesis of rock 'n' roll. Not a bad thing really but I try not to confuse one with the other.

"There are many shows of the ABB Tour which have been much better than the Zep show @ O2"

The Forum 3/6/06 immedietly comes to mind, still one of the best shows I have ever seen by anyone. Well, I wasn't at the Zeppelin show but just hearing the first two songs was enough to convince me that even if I HAD been there it wouldn't have even made my top ten of the year.
