i always think about that!!! he did ''yesterday''i would have liked memory motel sung by the rockin machine(the king was still alive!) angie...YGAWGWYW (maybe to left wing foo the king?) what about gimme shelter wow!! that would be strange!! of course ''I got the blues '' is the winner!!!......and Dance sister dance!!....in this modern age why cant we hear how this would have sounded? intresting indeed!
Elvis was a fantastic blues (and soul) singer (as well as mastering pretty much any other style of singing), so he could have handled any Stones song in that musical vein.
'I Got the Blues' is indeed an interesting choice. A nice big soul ballad.
There was a guy from Belfast who made a few records about 5 or 6 years ago, calling himself "The King". For some bizarre reason he was quite big in Eastern Europe. He was an Elvis impersonator who released two albums ("Gravelands" and "Return to Splendor") which consisted of him as Elvis covering songs by dead artists. As the Stones 'qualified' because of Brian Jones' demise, he did a cover of 'Sympathy for the Devil''....!
That wasnt actually one of the better ones, but some of the covers were pretty enjoyable.
Here he is doing Nirvana's "Come as you Are".... I love this.

Something like this?
One night of sin, yeah Is what Im now paying for The things I did and I saw Would make the earth stand still
And from Shake Rattle And Roll: Well, you wear low dresses, the sun comes shining through I can't believe my eyes all that mess belongs to you
Those lyrics sure beat the song 'I love only one girl': In Naples there's Maria how she can cook and flirt You can't beat her lasagna, I eat until I hurt And then she tops it off with "amore" for dessert

I think the most explicit (or political) song Elvis recorded was In the ghetto. Other than that, not really explicit songs by Elvis.

Always found "Power of My Love" to be dirty, as it sounds like Elvis is singing about something specific... :
"Oh break it, burn it, drag it all around Twist it, turn it, you cant tear it down Cos every minute, every hour youll be shaken By the strength and mighty power of my love
Crush it, kick it, you can never win I know baby you cant lick it Ill make you give in Every minute, every hour youll be shaken By the strength and mighty power of my love"
