"I have over 3,000 Stones records, every bootleg avaialable"

The problem is that Mick Jagger told to fans not to buy bootlegs because not officials. That's why I haven't any bootleg...
I'm not sure that bootlegs are a big argument to be the biggest fan...

In my own house, possibly.

Thanks for the compliment (I think) but while its all a time-consuming hobby and the music DOES mean a lot to me, I most certainly have things in my life that mean a LOT more. I just dont choose to bring them here.

You dont buy them because apparently Mick Jagger told you not to?

Oddly enough, theres plenty of evidence of him buying some himself....

Thanks Gazza, and contrary to pierkiroul, I have no moral difficulties with buying bootleg whiskey

I know it's crazy not to buy bootlegs,
Mick told it a long time ago, let me time to search exactly when... But this is not the only reason, I really never ever researched bootlegs because I really don't have time for that, and I know in Netherland and Japan, maybe Germany there are shops where you find all bootlegs, not in France because, you know the law in France is very strict about this, maybe in Paris it's more easy to find, but I'm not in Paris.

Mattleeuk has a great collection, I saw the link, it's really a big collection!
Others have one like this? Photos?
I can show mine, but I don't know how I can do to put photos online! (tell me please).

Love to see your collection stone-relics, but I know one record you havent got, and dont tell me it doesnt exist, because you know and I know that at least half a dozen do exist, and thats the true Necrophilia, unless you do have it.

No, dont have Necro...Once I had a chance to get the three acetates, and the cover, but didn have $30,000 US to drop on it. Besides, the guy ended up bootlegging it anyway. Not that I dont want it, but now that its bootlegged, its lost a bit of its shine. If I am gonna throw down big for acetates, I prefer non-circulated stuff.

Not Bad, Matthew, for a young man...

Here are couple from my collection...

The bootleg of Necro wasnt done correctly, the inside of the foldout sleeve is around the wrong way, the wording on the spine isnt correct, the printing of the sleeve is below par to name just a couple of discrepancies, but nevermind. Would like to meet one day for a couple of beers and share rareties. great pics, great collection, thanks John.

This is like a penis size type of competition. :-()

Do any of you own any of their guitars? Not that it makes you a bigger fan, but who ever has Keith's custom as used from 66 - 71 is one lucky bastid!

The collections posted are mightily impressive and in my case there is certainly some jealousy! I'd love to have access to rare acetates from 1966 - 1969 yes siree!!! :-()

But, how does one define 'biggest stones fan'!?

Re: Are you the biggest Stones fan?

My acetates run from 64-78--including two apple acetates of Ya Yas...alternate mixes, with Keith overdubbed solo on Flash, but this is heavily bootlegged, but generally from a scatchy copy.... Got about 20 of them, including 45 rpms. They are FUN!!!!

The great southern land of Oz JR. I may be passing through the US on my way back from UK/Ireland next year. A much delayed trip after not being able to do Europe as I had hoped for in September just gone. I was planning to do Belgium to meet with some Stones fans but alas, unforseen disasters.Where I am there doesnt seem to be any Stones fans I can talk to face to face, so with some luck I may get to the US.

used to think i was the no 1 stones fan cos i was going to my 3rd concert and knew the names of about 250 songs off by heart.

till i found this site.

then i realized after finding people were going to thier 64rth show that i was mere relegation material.

What's the scale of rating for being the biggest fan?

I don't think there's anybody who can claim for himself or another one to be the biggest fan and what's the use of it?
