All over the world? Er...hardly

What work is involved in 'promoting' a compilation? A couple of interviews? (Many of the ones I've read were actually done in London when the Stones were playing the 02.....)

Why should he bother doing a new album?
He'll wait until Jagger does one and then go out and top it as he always has done ;-)

Look, man, he is recovering from the tour and still from his head injury.

There were a lot of observations around these parts about how Keith appeared listless or "drunk" during some shows in Europe. And he did, I thought (not drunk but definitely not his normal movement or energy).

He is still on medication for his head injury.

He needs to get completely well from that, forget about solo albums or tours. Hopefully, he will be all recovered for the next Stones tour.

But for his own sake and health, he needs to take care of himself and do what he needs to do to get all well.

Give him a break !!!

It'll probably only be ballads as that's all he's done in the past decade. ;-)

But seriously, I don't see an album coming any time soon. Maybe in 2 years, after this next 'tour'.

yeah that and playing for millions of people, making a great record, making millions and having a ball doing it with friends and family at his side. mind sharing what you've accomplished this decade?

You're right that he topped "Primitive Coll" with "Talk Is Cheap", but compared to "Wandering Spirit" "Main Offender" sucked. "WS" in my opinion, is the best solo record of a Rolling Stones member ever.
I've always been loving Keith, but I'm also afraid that he's lost his ability to play a good guitar - best example: Ronnie playing the "Keith guitar" during "You Got The Silver". Keith simply can't do it any longer, obviously due to his arthritis ... it's sad but it's true. But he can just stand on stage and wink to the audience - I'd love him for doing that too :-)

respectable list there, sssoul. do you have all these recordings?

two of them are still on my wish list, LQ.
(a couple of them aren't in circulation. there's footage of that 1999 Central Park Sweet Little Rock & Roller,
for example, but no audio - which is pretty seriously unfortunate!)

Give keith some rest time to fully recover. I am pretty sure we will have our "old Keith" back next spring!

provocative : the next album is titled 'brain damaged'
optimistic : 'listen to this greenfly'

>> impressive that you tracked most of them down <<

it wasn't too hard! most of what's on that list is available on official releases.
Keith contributes to these albums to support them/the artists, so ...
check the CD/DVD vendor of your choice

besides that stuff, Keith's also played at a couple of Waddy Wachtel gigs in the last decade,
plus a few Rock & Roll Hall of Fame jams, and that appearance at the Boxcar with Honeyboy Edwards -
oh yeah and he played a part in a movie, didn't he :E

Either of Keef's solo releases are better than all of Mick's put together (my opinion). Would be nice to have a third album, wonder if it would be rock n' roll, reggae or country?
