If Yoko joined the Stones ,they could give Mark Chapman a job as a roadie and buy him a new pair of glasses,so he could hit the target this time.

I think I may have crossed the boundries of good taste.................@#$%& it.

Keith sure seemed to enjoy playing in her "backing" band at the Rock and Roll Circus--I only hope his joy was at playing in a band with Lennon and Clapton--I cant believe he really liked it, or her---

And Mick is on one of her solo albums from the early 70's--- but again, that would have to be another favor to Lennon---

cant believe either one of them would consider that no-talent fruitcake to be anything close to a musician...

They'd have to put a mask on her as well as turn off her mike...then I'd go.

>> at the Rock and Roll Circus <<

someone - maybe Yoko herself? - mentions in one of the commentaries to the recent release of the Circus
that the Dirty Mac musicians tolerated her presence on stage purely out of respect for John.

i'd rather discuss why clocks don't swing. the world really would be a lot hipper if they did.

dumbest post ever

anyways i saw Yoko at the 9.30 Club in Washington DC in 1996.
She had Sean in the band, and was surprised that i enjoyed it.
She read some poems Lennon wrote and screamed and wailed like a stuck pot-bellied pig. Kinda like Bjork but crazier. there weren't many people there, i went cuz she is part of music history and glad i did.

Watching that clip sums up her insignificant existence. I would rather have a Root Canal done with an Oyster fork than watch or listen to that rubbish.

Isn't the title to this thread wrong?

Shouldn't it be: "If the Stones let Yoko Ono join, would you go to see them in concert?"

We may have standards, but I'm sure they do too winking smiley

Well...
1. Linda died a while back.
2. She didn't really play the keyboards, she only lip and hand synched.

Linda wasn't as interesting of an artist as Yoko, not sure if you'd classify Linda as an artist or musician at all. Yoko was known as the female Elvis of Japan back in her day...

Man....you can REALLY tell the tour is over, huh?

Possible future silly topics:

Remember the time Keith didn't shave?

I heard Charlie invented Jello Pudding

Hey, you know that blue shirt that Ronnie wore that time......where can I get the same kind, except in long sleeve and red?

Brian Jones came up with the word "vibrato" in his sleep

Something Happend To Me, Yesterday for the b-stage!!!

My cat choked on the pick that Woody threw me, proving MT is a better guitarist!

If Noel Redding joined the Stones, would you hear the bass?

Does Mick eat pork chops?

Sales predictions for "Charlie Watts Greatest Hits...Vol. One"

If Lisa weren't fat, would she be skinny???

Maybe the Stones should try to have 26 stages for the next tour....one for each letter of the alphabet

Where can I get a button like the third one from the top on the shirt Jagger wore during the Licks Tour?

Rolling Stones VS. Big Country

I'd go, if only to see Keith bash her in the head with his guitar sometime around the third number.

It's supposed to be a fun "what-if" topic...
Yoko has joined many greats on stage, so you never know...
She has a quality most Westerners don't understand.

I guess what I'd like to know, sort of, is how much spare time a person has to have to think up questions like this, and then start a thread about it. Or how much dope they smoked before coming up with it. If THAT is what happened, cold turkey my friend, cold turkey.

Actually, many other threads on this board inspired this one...I meant it as a fun what-if scenario. No drugs here. Perhaps I should? lol

I think she brings out a quality most westerners understand: Kissing the boss's ass. There is no way in hell anyone in those bands thought she was talented. I don't think John Lennon's talent makes up for her. That wailing she does is so bad. That clip with Chuck Berry is hysterical. I would have love to have been in the room when that idea was brought up. Everyone must have said, "Yeah, John, that's a great idea." The drugs must have been great back then.
