10/10. Not particularly the best musical performance (although fine) but everything came together. The Charlatans as support were good, the crowd were up for it, the rain stopped, Keith flouted the smoking ban (O2 wasn't a first!) and the BBC captured the gig for posterity.

and the roof at Hampden isn't extensive enough to qualify it as a closed venue.

I think if your unlucky with sound at a show it's very very hard to appreciate what is really happening. Maybe yr friend had a good spot and Adrian was surrounded by echoed mufflin splurge...? eg. of the o2 shows the 23rd was easily the lesser in my book due to my position and dire 'acoustics', whereas others insist it was the best!

yeah, I think he was around the mixing desk - that must be the best place in the house

for me, the worst Rolling Stones concert experience, i've ever had.
Horrible upper tier seat, appaling acoustics,
and a bunch of inbred pond-life, surrounding me, who, when they weren't filling they're guts with overpriced, weak lager, were shouting into mobile phones and munching on pizzas.
The only time they stood up was to navigate they're sorry drunken arses to the bars/khazi's.

Enjoyed every show to varying degrees, but the only one I'd put in my top ten ever Stones shows was the 1st 02 gig. The show a couple of nights later ran it close, though. 3rd night was still a good show, but was somewhat anticlimactic.

I think like adrian we was up in the nose bleeds and i would have to say this was the worst show for me as well, more or less like adrian describes it.

The seats at the 02 on the lower tier turned out to be really good, but the floor seats for the last concert was not good as i thought they would be.
