"Keith is playing the guitar and the Stones are still on. If you can't stand seeing a guy grow older then I would suggest seeing the show from another place in the venue may be."

I agree that people shouldn't jump to conclusions about health-related theories of what's wrong with Keith but I don't get why people can't say they think he didn't play well at a show they went to. Last year I wrote a few reviews of shows I went to that weren't 100 percent positive and they never got posted, but if I wrote a really positive one it got posted right away.

If someone says they thought the band didn't sound good after hearing a bootleg people will say you weren't there. But if you were there and say something negative people say stop posting this crap. I even wrote things negative and got emailed personally from others on this board.

I just don't get why you can't post your opinion on a show you went to unless its positive without taking all kinds of crap on this board. All these posts saying things like... "don't go to the shows if you don't like the Stones anymore" to me that is much more childish than writing a review and saying they thought Keith didn't play well.

"What I don't like at all is that someone is making a point about Keith, Ronnie, Charly or Mick's performance, taht others putting that into a corner 'stones bashing'"

Firstly, read all the recent reviews, the reviews of Biggest Bang DVD etc. etc.

Some might say this tour is actually successful MUSIC wise!

And I've no problem commenting on how the band plays or acts. Just don't assume keith healths deterioated drastically when you have absolutely no flippin evidence except YOUR opinion!

yes?...

Keith was ok in Paris. Don't like to generalize, but seems this may be a bit of an off tour for him, but Ronnie is glowing. They're a band and the whole is infinitely bigger than the sum of individual parts.

No keith is not fine. If you read my post yestarday one hour after the show you will read the same thing as capsula. I have myself for a big RS fan.I did support keith, i loved him yesterday in JJF or MM. But he wasnt there (phisically speaking) in miss you, and SFTD. This is a fact. He screw Happy in a way that makes me cry. Not for the song man. I have it in so many ways and some many tours that its enough. I was almost crying for keith. After all i went yesterday to say thank you (one of my favourite things to do in a RS Concert) to that guys who gives me so much in my life. But this time i said "thank you with all my soul", i said "im so sorry keith", and i said "bye friends, its enough"

I was in Lyon, Barcelona and San Sebastian and Keef was great!

He run, he changed sides, he smiled, was on the knees - and his
voice crystal clear and better than in Horsens 06.

I was in the hotel in San Sebastian when Keef came out, I saw a
man with warm lovely eyes smiling to the fans and the press, and
he really looked fantastic !

No worry !

Keith is long gone - he was long gone on the Licks Tour.
Simple as that.
Sure he's a legend but if anyone says he's still playing good guitar....give me a break !

And before anyone says anything - I have only listened to over 100 bootlegs from the recent tours...

...and another 300 since '69

His singing on Silver was fantastic in Barcelona

No I wasn't at Madrid but he was great in Barcelona - he even did a bit of running!

Maybe he has to concentrate more on playing these days and I know about the arthritis etc etc but he still delivers

I would rather watch Keith Richards who bums a few notes here and there than one of these technical players who have no soul in their playing!!

The man lives and breathes his music- he means it- his vocal performance on Silver shows this!

What do we have:
a bunch of newbies all of a sudden posting the unwritten Truth...

I admit I'm a Stones concert virgin but I'm fairly deep into the issue.

Gazza, Paulywaul and many other serious, established fans
say Stones and Keef has done one of his best or THE best
gigs ever last ones in Iberian peninsula.

Guess who I believe the most?

I agree theres a lot back OR white at this page.
I'm interested in the truth.

How did he screw up Happy?

Are you talkin both about guitar and his vocals efforts?

Re: Something is really wrong with Keith

When i say screwing happy, i mean missing al the first verses in the song, playing in the wrong moments and doing signals of "cut throat" to the back singers.
And no, NO, keith dont suck big time. I never saw a JJF like yesterday.
But then again he wasent there in half of SFTD and MY.
Im so sorry to the way things are growing on this post.
I enjoy the concert. I enjoy keith. I enjoy TD,JJF,MM. I think Happy ,MY, SFTD and some parts in satifaction where sad to see.

But let's live in peace,
let's hear Happy,
let's sing Happy,
let us be happy, all together, all the time.

I had a chance to listen to several videos and audio tracks from this tour
It's All Over Now from Belgium - great version and Keith is on fire
- she was hot in Paris - beautiful Keith's playing
- wanna hold ya in barcelona - fcuking great - and Keith's solo is 100% correct and perfect
- iow festival start me up - if Keith is not the leader than no one is

and many other - so c'mon man - he is fine.
but he's been trough a lot of things last year
and his hands aren't in the greatest condition too

you are under "something-wrong-with-Keith" hype and even if he makes a small it doesn't mean anything, you assume he is really wrong and sick and drunk.
THIS IS HYPE !
Don't you see you are hysterical?

there's 10 x more whinning, complaining and Stones bashing now on thye internet message boards than last time they were in Europe.

sorry - but my friends - from Bob Dylan message boards when they saw IORR they thought this is a message board for Stones anti-fans.

ands now think - Stones camp reads this shit....

UNFORTUNATELY.

He has been doing that since 1972. I've seen and heard shows on bootlegs where Mick had to sing most of the song.

Anyway: Alvaro. I trust your aims.
I will edit away your user name above.

Both "sides" have a huge responsibility for the atmosphere on
the board, as one of Free Speech. I'm often surprised by the
rude tune from people in their 40s-50s, we should know better.
But all the ones that want to bash also should think before they post.

Guess all of us were very scared & worried.
Now most seem to be in order.
Value of tix also fell drastically for a while.

Love & Stones greetings to all the people out there!
Lookin' forward to the Czech gig!

why is that so?
what has changed since last year, not since 1962, since last years european tour?

are there 10 times more stupid people in this world now or is there more wrong with keith that goes beyond "he was always like that"?

Re: Something is really wrong with Keith

I have seen the Stones in Paris this year. As usual I was in the FOS, Keith's side and very closed to the stage (at the second row).

I regret but something is wrong with Keith. He's very different from the Keith of last year in Europe (just after his accident).

I am a fan, but I have to admit : something has changed with him, and not in a good way. Everything I have read about him seem more or less right. He has changed (a lot).

Which worries me a lot, it's not the question of his quality as a singer or musician, but the way he react on stage. IT SEEMS HE DOES NOT TAKE PLEASURE. IT SEEMS HE WISHES TO BE IN ANOTHER PLACE.

I prefer to see a smiling Keith on stage, with fire in his eyes even if he makes mistakes while playing or singing rather then a perfect singer and guitarist but "cold like a tomb stone". In Paris they were no fire..

Now the question is the following : is it the question of few shows ? Shall we recover the "real" Keith (a little bit older of course) ? He was getting old in a very smart way..

I am very sad to say that... I hope he will recover quickly. I will see him in Slane and the last two dates (London #2 and #3).

Keith, if you read this : be strong and good luck... you are (we are) getting old but take care of you. I will go to your show, even if you are in a wheel chair.
