Sure it is.

Always struck me this black & white thing.
Not that I'm not a part of it myself.

Here's my idea:

(a) Time is catching ol' keef
(b) Arthritis and its medication takes its tribute
(c) Many get hyper-sensitive about "the changes"
(d) He has many many years to keep on playin' but
(e) This ravin' r & r-madness giga tours gotta stop anyway.

Thanks brainer for backing up my feelings

Think frustrated comes closer than sarcasm,

But both sides of these kinds of Keith-discussions is really boring - and I mean especially when the sides keeps on kicking the other side - though maybe it's better than kicking Keith
Reviews from people who were there is welcome - but lately it's been nothing but repetition, like if this was a board for hooligans of two different teams

All this negative stuff makes me wonder about Euro (in)sensibility.

Ok, I'll go back to watching "The Biggest Bang" now. Rio is on -- seems like there were a few fans enjoying the show there.

Think we should Qoute Keith when he is saying back in '69

"Man!! if those cat's don't stop beating everybody up we don't play"

Or something like that, you know what I mean .........

a lot has happened since Rio, in fairness. No need to make it a "cultural" issue! There were plenty of doom and gloom like remarks on the US leg last autumn as well.

Yeah it's becoming a bit of a drag.

For those of you who are really worried... I paid close attention to Keith as well as the rest of the band for two hours today and for being as sick as someone say - he is remarkable capable of performing excellent guitar playing, running across the stage and to the wings, doing his own solo songs, extended versions of Midnight Rambler and Sympathy For The Devil, and even sorting out which sides he has been to at the show, so that he does Ronnie side first, then later on his own wing. May be not the same as walking the straight line when you are called in to check out if you have been doing drunk driving but just as good I think, or even better.

Remember...all Keef-related postings go inside this thread, no need for a new thread for each Keef sub-topic or variation thereof...

So with that...any new Keef updates today?

I am pleased to tell you how great was Keith in El Ejido. I looked at him very near and he was concentrated, very profesional and without any sign of uncontrol as he seemed in Madrid. The sound was good and people applauded him a lot.

To me El Ejido and Barcelona were the best of the Spain concerts, even I liked more Madrid set list

Keith is the man plain & simple. Yes he's gotton "old" the past year. He's put more "livin" in that body than any normal guy. Why give him shit or all this alarmness?? He deserves to go out on his own terms whatever that may be! I hope its still playing guitar or whatever. The bottom line is he's earned this right so let em be whatever, whichever, etc etc. Keith you go!!!! MEZ

Yesterday, in El Ejido, he was great again. He looks old, he looks bad, wathever you want, but now, I would sign a contract with the devil, for being like him when I would get his age. (Remember as well al his past) He is a hero.

The Rank Outsider. Seen The Rolling Stones live x 3.

Having seen them for the first time on this leg of the tour at the Isle of Wight I'm now back home after a 2 week trip in which I took in the Paris, Lyon, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Lisbon, Madrid, El Ejido shows.

Mr Keith Richards ... and to similar extent the entire band as a whole ... are currently doing WHAT THEY'VE ALWAYS DONE. They're playing shows of a staggeringly high quality overall, and within those shows the songs they perform "repeatedly" vary very slightly, some are "perfectly competent" at worst, and at best they truly scale heights they've never done before. There is bugger all wrong with Keith, the setlist variations are fantastic and are as much as any rational and clear thinking fan could expect the band to come up with ... given that this is a STADIUM TOUR for gods sake !!

My recommendation: get out of the armchair and get your critical ass down to the nearest stadium they're playing in. Europe 2007 is special, catch them now or quite frankly ... REGRET IT. And on your way to the stadium, perhaps you might wish to make a note of the year (it's 2007 by the way - not 1967) and also do a reality check. This band is giving everything its got ... and what it's giving us at the moment is superb.

As Pete Townshend said, "Whatever you do boys, don't grow old gracefully. It just wouldn't suit you."

Somehow this may just be it.

Kiz entregó su sonrisa y música a todos los que estuvimos ahí, en Barcelona y San Sebastián. Fue grande en su sentimiento musical, como todos los Stones.

ok, I will attempt translation:

Keef entranced everyone in the audience in Barcelona and San Sebastian (Spain). It was a great and memorable concert by all of the Stones.
