Ronnie is dead drunk, but the title track is really great. Not solely because of Ronnie though (sorry, but it's a fact...).

You might already know the Kilburn '74 show is coming out soon on Wooden Records, Mofur...With Keith, McLagan, Newmark (Sly's drummer at the time), Weeks, and Rod (right?). Never heard that one, but Far East Man is one of the weaker Ron projects I own, and I'm a big fan...

Did not know that - but thanks for the info ;-)

Wow, they are really out for our money this year!

Ron already uses his trademark multiple-mike stand at the Kilburn shows. Rod comes out and joins for "If you wanna make a fool of somebody", which is a great, a GREAT song for him and Ron to harmonize on. IMO that chorus is just made for those hoarse raspy voices. I think (but I'm not sure) that Rod might stick around for one more tune. Like "Id rather go blind" or something like that. I miss that Rod; not becuase he has gotten older but because he has not quit drinking. Nowadays he looks bloated and a bit pressurized.

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

It's the pressure of trying to force conviction into the songs he's assigned. What's on the last one, Segar's "Like A Rock"? A Pretenders ballad? Any Bryan Adams guest shots?
But Rod sounds fine on 'You Strum I'll Sing,' like the pressure's off and he can find his groove... I cant wait for the Kilburn thing to be officially released. BTW Was that '05 "Ron Wood & Fiends" show shot/recorded professionally?

Ya - a great DVD and, for Nikki Sudden fans, you can see him in the front row!

Take a Look at the Guy is the other one Rod joins in on at Kilburn 74.
really lookin forward to that release! and meanwhile, Far East Man is mostly quite enjoyable
although as folks have noted it's not among the strongest performances ever filmed
