Very weird indeed! Cam on now. What are you waiting for!

It is weird. Read these from the terms and conditions:

As a ticketing agent we do not have any role in setting Ticket prices or determining seat locations. Upon receipt, please check the details of your Tickets as mistakes cannot always be rectified. The Ticket holder has a right only to a seat of a value corresponding to that stated on the Ticket and the Supplier reserves the right to provide alternative seats to those specified on the Ticket.

So you cannot know where the seats are that you are buying.

Yet they are for sale as best I can see. Forget it.

because they don't have them yet and don't know where they are either.
there must be some reason why they're still stalling, but ...
jeez, let it loose already!

It's absolutely confirmed by fanasylum, the Stones Travel Center.

You know what annoys me just a little.
Why have the last of the three planned dates as the "additional" show?
I suspect that the majority of fans can only afford the one show and have already booked for an existing date. They now don't have the option of attending what is probably the last show of the tour...with it's extra spice and emotive flavour.
Why didn't they keep back one of the other two dates instead ?
There may be valid logistical reasons that we aren't aware of... but it seems just a little unfair to do it this way round.
I suppose some folks will say you should have the balls to wait it out...but that's not really the point.

well ... the 25th is actually the first London date that was rumoured, no?
i feel like the the third show has been "rumoured" long & strong enough
that people who really want to could plan their trips accordingly.
and after all we all also realize that august 25th might not be the final show of the tour anyway.

and maybe the band doesn't get into that emotive spice flavour so much, you know?
smile: or maybe they *really* get into it, and find it more flavourful if they've annoyed everyone first. :E

Fair comment. A very valid point of view ;^)

I had the balls to wait, the problem is that the flight
and the hotel prices are not going to be cheaper the nearer
the date comes.

I will be in London from Aug. 22nd until Aug. 26th now smiling smiley

lastminute.com are a reputable travel company and definitely NOT a broker. If they were, those prices would not be £150 and £100, ie face value.

Strange that they have an allocation on public sale already though and even worse that you cant see where the seats are.

I just called Last Minute to try and find out more......which wasn't straightforward, but all they would say was to confirm the number of tickets they still had left at £150 and £100 and that they did not have a seating plan. Missing the point that I was making about this date not even being officially confirmed yet, she said "oh well, if the concert is cancelled, you will get a full refund". That would be the 'possible' concert being cancelled before it's confirmed then......?!

I had tickets for the Vancouver show last November 3rd. I looked at the concert dates, and there was a bit of a gap between Vancouver and the earlier show and I thought, Great, give Mick a chance to rest his voice. Then they crammed in the 2 dates at the Beacon in NY, so they could film some footage on Oct 29th and 31st I think, and I thought, Damn, Vancouver is gonna cancel. I was flying (on points) from Toronto, with a hotel reserved (on points) and wondered first whether they would cancel before I had my ass in the air, and second whether I would be able to re-book the hotel and flight, since booking on points takes a type of skill and cunning that is beyond that of the average traveller. And I'm lousy at it...

I told my friends who were accompanying me - it's gonna cancel.

I called the venue 5 days before the concert to see if they had heard anything, and the very confused lady on the phone said They're in here setting up...

They cancelled around Oct 30th. Rescheduled to Nov 23rd. Fortunately I had an email from a friend almost immediately and was able to re-book, but it involved staying an extra night, with that cost plus the flight change fee.

My point (and I do have one...) is... what kind of show will the 25th be with 2 earlier shows relatively close together, and at the end of a tour? Yes, the Vancouver concert was great, lots of energy, the last show of that leg of the tour... but Mick really seems to need at least 3 days between shows to pull it off these days. I wonder if his voice will hold up for 3 shows in 5 days.

Just wonderin'...

buying a ticket for an overseas Stones show, is a gamble these days,
whenever the show is scheduled for.

you have to be prepared for cancellations/reschedulling -
it's the norm these days.

three shows in five days is normal..one day off between shows. In the five days before the 21/8/07 show, they only have one concert (Slane), so he should be OK

A possible reason why he screwed things up in late October/early November would be that he rehearsed for a few nights at the Beacon BEFORE the Atlantic City show, which was subsequently postponed because he'd blown his voice. He wasnt sufficiently recovered to play the second Beacon show on the scheduled date, hence the subsequent postponements

Travelling abroad for a show cancelled on the day (Bangkok, Licks) was one of the worst experiences of my life. Luckily, I didn't go all the way from Scotland, but still, it was a complete boot in the balls.

I always swore I wouldn't travel far to go and see them again, but the Isle of Wight has tempted me to break the vow. Here's hoping nothing goes wrong...

Just a little warning... Mick is getting laryngitis on almost every tour. There is a chance of more than 50% there will be changes also on this tour. But we all cross our fingers of course!

At least the Canadian floor seats (beside the "B" stage) were "only" $165 Cdn, not $165 GBP (with service charge)! If they cancel or postpone the 23rd (which is what I have a seat for ... and an extra still available folks! ... ) and don't re-schedule for another date when I will be there, I will need a defibrillator! Or a diaper...

so they've changed it. earlier it did indeed lead to a "London #3" page.
wrong date for the concert (it said the 23rd) but the dates of the package were the 24th - 26th
and the text said third show/three times/etc
