Is Rugby considered a "cultural" activity, Adrian? You know I am all about soaking up as much of the culture as possible while in London.winking smiley

Even Mick gets old.
Might be the last gig....and maybe it should be. End with a bang!

It is not the last show. That is for sure.
But may be the last show of this tour.
I have always been surprised by the fact that they do not
have any high profile ending of tours.
Bill's last ever shows was the exception.
Two shows at Wembley Stadium August 1990.
That is a nice way of ending a tour. On home ground.
But even those shows were rescheduled and not planned,
because of Keith's finger infection in Glasgow etc.
After that they have ended the tour at random places in Europe:

1995: Rotterdam
1999: Cologne
2003: Hong Kong

I would like them to end the tour on home ground. London.
And to have a pint of bitter after the show,
celebrating yet another fantastic tour. Only in London.

The Daily Star,a British downmarket newspaper, which was right about the Stones playing the Isle of Wight, says today that they "will play the London O2 Arena on Sunday,August 26th,in addition to their August 21st and 23rd dates at the same venue". It also says tickets go on sale next week.

May be The Daily Star is reading IORR, like many other sites and journalists across the world. I do often see the news going round in circles. Also to official sites... And may be it is a fact. Probably.

just posted this in response to the Fan Asylum announcement on another london show 3 thread.

(this from Fan Asylum):

LONDON #3 TRAVEL PACKAGE!!!
AUG 25-27 LONDON #3 - RESERVED SEATS!

If they are saying 25-27 on Fan Asylum, I would say this is a pretty strong confirmation that the show will be on the 26th. I think that's the way it works on all the other Fan Asylum travel deals -- the show is on the second day of the 3.

I am safe, I could only book my return flight on the 27th with the free Delta Sky Miles flight, tried for the 26th (and kept trying to change it as recently as Wednesday) but perhaps there was a reason that it happened that way. Strange.

But then again, maybe I am wrong.

I can go to two of the stones shows (21 and 23)in London- I should consider myself lucky; very excited. But, three shows would have been fun (commitments!- ugh responsibility!).

I can't really see doing the Fan Asylum thing when London is easy travel city due to the underground (getting driven to show is major bonus to me). But, I did do Fan Asylum in 2003 in The Netherlands and loved it; though retirement is another year farther off- can I work to the age of 93?

Any roumors about London?
Posted by: Niklas ()
Date: April 27, 2007 00:21

Is there any news/roumors about a third show in London? I got tickets for the Tuesday and Thursday shows, but I don't want to buy a plane ticket before I know if ther will be one more.... It says probably on these pages, but anyone know some more?

I've been thinking, could it be they make a last show on the new Wembley instead of doing another arena show?
