How much did the tickets cost in London? I heard something about 150 UK pounds? Were there Ticketmaster fees on top of that?

Were the first five rows on the floor less expensive the way they were in North America?

Re: 3rd London show?????

George V: yeah, the top-price tickets at the London shows are 150 GBP plus fees
(about 15 total per ticket);
and i haven't seen anyone reporting that they've scored any 70-GBP tickets in the first few rows in the sales.
so it seems either those don't exist for the o2 shows, or they haven't been released yet.

It seems the ticket price structure was like Atlantic City, with absolutely no 'cheap' floor tickets. ALL of the AC floor seats were $450+. and ALL of the O2 floor seats were £150. And £250 if you count the hotseat bullshit.

It seems the 'rich' / big city markets lose out on the cheap ticket deals, because there is a big demand for tickets, and because the venue is an arena and not a stadium.

So accoustics and the indoor aspect are the only differences between arena's and stadiums? 23000 is not exactly intimate from my perspective... One thing maybe that's another quality over a stadium, is that the tiers are closer to the centre of the floor, so you've got a better view on the artists. But overall... 23.000... The sound must be REALLY REALLY REALLY good to justify the price difference. And 15 pounds taxes? It won't take long before Europe will ban the additional costs on tickets, just like the airfares.

Just some thoughts.

>> The sound must be REALLY REALLY REALLY good to justify the price difference. <<

well, since the top-price tickets for the o2 shows cost the same (150 GBP)
as the top-price tickets at Twickenham last year, i don't see that much need to "justify the price difference".
(the lowest and medium prices at Twickenham were 60 and 90, i think, and this year they're 70 and 100.)
the big differences from last year is that the entire floor and more of the lower tiers are 150,
which is what i expected as soon as i saw the floor plan. whether it's "justified" or not
might be a different question, though. :E have some popcorn.

Oh, well, then Twickenham must have REALLY REALLY REALLY good accoustics to justify the price difference with for example the Stade de France... ;-)

It seems you've bought tickets to Heaven in the O2.

Thanks for the popcorn offer, but I think I'll need some coffee first. (So more popcorn for you then!)

As long as you still can score quite good tickets on ticketmaster I do not see the opportunity for a third concert.
Ticketmaster still realeases good tickets again and again, but no more floor seats. Just sawa sSection 106 with Row D which is not to bad as you have a good view to the grand stage and of course the small one just rolls out to you

I just bought a ticket in that very section / row.

I agree, with tickets like this available they will not add a 3rd show.

Anyone noticed yet that Ticketmaster list 'Let's Spend the Night Together' at 23:00 at the Imax, straight after the gigs?

Someone at the Imax has woken up, it seems.
Last time I went there to see Stones at the Max, it was virtually empty...

Ah, they have changed it now, not the Imax...Indigo 2, which is apparently some cub next to the O2...it's a club night, not showing the movie after all....

Does this mean if you're at the concert you get in free?

Additional Information:
A club night exclusively for Rolling Stones ticket holders. Party-on to London's finest Rock DJ's after the gig at the Indigo2. London's newest music venue is situated in the Entertainment district of the O2, right next door to the Arena. Night buses, taxis, and 24 hour river boat services into central London, will be ready to take you home - if you ever stop partying! There is limited availability for these parties, so book now and Let's Spend a Night Together!

Unfortunately not! I also saw it on TM, and it's £20. Jesus wept...

It is a lot of money, but it would be great to do if it is full of stones fans (obviously) and they play loads of stones music. And the place can only hold a few hundred people, so it would be a great way to have a few drinks after the show and at the same time, avoid the rush home. It says there is a 24 hour boat service going from the venue into central london.

Imagine: Amazing stones gig, followed by partying with a venue full of stones fans to great stones / rock music, followed by an open-air boat ride along the thames at 3 in the morning!

Sounds good, but yeah should be allowed free entry.

Sounds great, and the entrance price is of course outragous. But, I imagine they have parties every saturday night, with those prices. I'd say: GO. In relatice measures: it's amost for free and doesn't really hurt you anymore, does it? ;-)

Hey guys, are you Rockefeller? 3 shows in row for 165Pounds? That's nearly 500Pounds. Before the Euro that was 1500 German Mark. For that Money I made a flight to the US and saw several shows over there incl. hotel.

If you also need a hotel in London and a flight..oh well.

How to milk the cows!

Well,
fot an arena show I will stay at home (Lisboa); I have allready see them in MSG in Jan 06.

I will only go to London for a Club Show or the new Wembley Stadium.

Anyone shares the same opinion?

Hahaha, spoiled brat! That's the attitude! Deliver something else or I'll stay at home!

I guess it's the same arrogant attitude that got the stones this far.

If one can guarantee that the acoustics in O2 Arena are really good...
