At least show some respect...you say they should stop maybe you should stop listening if it doesnt satisfy you anymore! Be glad for all the good times they gave you...and leave the bone if you dislike it..cause your point is clear by now..I bet you go to just another show to say your sad goodbeys..and make another sad thread about it...another tour yes ..the road is long maybe longer than you want...the way you put down Ron Wood is so sad!

"Four shows in 13 months selling out 140,000 tickets average 150 dollars cashing in 21 million US dollars"
there you go, the Stones turned into @#$%& thieves these days. All about the money, not music

Not wanting to put another knife in here but for me the rot set in long before ABB. I distinctly remember watching Steel Wheels in Barcelona on television in '89 or '90 and being struck by how tired they sounded compared to '81.

I think they improved a bit in the Voodoo Lounge & Licks tours though. I rewatched the Tokyo DVD after reading Mathijis comments and yep Keith did hit many bum notes. His solo in Satisfaction is truly horrific.

Steel Wheels in Barcelona sounds great now compared to what I hear on ABB DVDs.

The golden era with Brian Jones...was what i heard first from them i think that period was pure magic...i relived it as a child in the seventies, and had to get used to the seventies Stones....some things will never come back...the period 1970 till 84 i think was truely great to...and it will never come back...it aint no use to compare....me myself i always hope they will become a blues band...in the future with some R&R incl....iam not ready to stop listening or say goodbey.

You can always play your records or watch your films from the time you thought they was kings...1978 is gone...89 /90 is gone...it will never be the same again.

I never said each and every Stones show is sold out. I say again and again they choose a "room" that is large enough. Those 30,000 would not fit into United Center, which takes less. Nobody else in the business is able to get 20 million US dollars from a single city by performing four times in a year. Most people forget it was freezing cold winter that day, may be it the week was nicer they might sold 10,000 more tickets, but that is not important. The Stones played 21 shows during the Fall tour and they sold out a lot of these shows. They made a lot of fans happy. That is the point. I woulkd say 160,000 fans in Chicago is 160,000 more people than what would be if they did not tour at all.

Oh. I think you missed my point. Most probably I'd go to see them once again, but it's a part of my friends who are going to turn me sad me with their comments I'm gonna hear: and those comments are going to come from the ones who already saw them with me back in 1995 and 1999, or the ones who use to go to concerts. I'm sure the tourists (ie. my friends who haven't see them ever) will enjoy the show...
