If you do stay in London, be aware that there are engineering works on the train line and there is a replacement bus service - it just means you should allow extra travelling time to get to/from Twickenham.
just to add to Gazza's points- Railway engineering works/disruption, are always a possibility/probability in the area, on sunday's, so trains into the centre of town, to/from Twickenham, may not be a very enjoyable experience. stay local, would be my very strong advice. A cab from Twickenham to Heathrow will cost you approx £20..alternatively get the bus (30 mins journey time) for £1.50

Yes. Out of the door of the Red Cow, 75 metres to the intersection of Sheen Road with Church Road. Turn left and walk up Church Road. Follow it round, past the church, it becomes Friars Stile Road, keep following it past the shops & the pub called the Marlborough - till you get to the summit of Richmond Hill. Just past the small post office the road bends very sharply to the left. Walk along on the left hand side of the road (on the opposite side of it you'll be looking straight down at the river Thames below), and the house that MJ used to share with Jerry, and where she still lives, is about 100 metres along. It's called Downe House. Continue walking another 200 metres, past the pub called the Roebuck, and on the opposite side of the road on the corner of Nightingale Lane you'll see a big white house called The Wick. Used to be Ronnie's, now Pete Townshends.
In Richmond town centre, directly opposite the station is a bar called Edwards. It used to be the Station hotel where they first started playing all those years ago.

Yes, afraid so. You'll understand when you look at the view of the river Thames whilst standing outside the house.
Joker, if you're depending on public transport to get to the venue, you might like to know that a No. 33 bus will take you straight from outside the Red Cow to Twickenham town centre in about 15 minutes. Not sure how late they run back at night, though.

He's not anywhere near being a billionaire, although hes making a good bloody go at trying to achieve it
Cost him about ten million quid in 1990-91 or so when he bought it, I think. You dont really get a proper appreciation of it from the front, as there's some land behind the house...(the back overlooks a girls school...heh heh..good ol' Mick....)
