I'm no fan of Birmingham myself but it did get the award for the cleanest city in Britain earlier this month.

Correct. With the way their schedule works (about 3 shows a week for about 4 wekes, then a week off), there simply isnt going to be much room there for too many theatre shows - unless they do a late run of them in August which is somewhat improbable.

Aside from maybe a warm up show or two, I'd be amazed if we get any once the tour starts. Hope to hell I'm wrong, though.

As far as I understood from the backstage footage of the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame on youtube Keith said something like:

"...wait until May...I'm not allowed to give any details away...".

This could either mean the tour announcement or the tour start.

What do you think?

Sleep well all, good suggestion UrbanSteel. Whatever does or does not happen: thanks for the hints, for starting the fever!

Be sure to count the users online from time to time, 150 is the record so far... More than 7/8/9 rows at least are needed for that, for rough counting.

This an internet translation of the link posted by "Sandy Beach"

The Meeting discards the concert in Valladolid of The Stones, which they will go to Madrid, Barcelona and The Common land The Council of Culture prepares several big musical events to promote the tourism in the region

One and not more. After the enormous frustration that it(he,she) provoked in the Castilians and from Leon the suspension last summer of the concert that The Rolling Stones had foreseen to offer on August 14 in Valladolid, the Meeting of Castile and León has not encouraged "to 'bid" this year for one of the 'shows' with which ' his(her, your) satanic majesties ' have foreseen to delight this summer the Spanish." After the fiasco of last year and the bad response that existed on the part of the group after the suspension, we have not believed opportunely to return to try(mean) it. There was neither a serious offer nor a valid speaker ", was making clear yesterday the adviser of Culture and Tourism, Silvia Clemente.

Though it(he) is foreseen that Mick Jagger and company make his(her, your) tour official next week from London, semiofficial sources(fountains) confirmed yesterday that the ' grandparents of the rock ' will actuate in Spain next June. Madrid, Barcelona and The Common land are three appointments confirmed up to the moment, though possibly they are not the only ones. San Sebastian is ultimando the negotiations in order that The Rolling Stones acts on Saturday, the 23rd of June in Anoeta's Stadium.
The date of June 23 might be the one that in his(her, your) day was stopping vacant Valladolid before the decision of the Council of Culture and Tourism not promoting the performance of The Stones; to the argument exposed yesterday by Silvia Clemente him(her) it is necessary to add that the proposed date this year for The Stones for the concert of Valladolid was, according to semiofficial sources(fountains), two days after that of Madrid had taken place. To manage to fill the Stadium Jose Zorrilla with this premise is something unthinkable in order that the 'investment' - it is necessary to remember that the total cost of the production of the event was overcoming 3,5 million Euros - turn out to be minimally profitable.

Jagger's laryngitis prevented that Valladolid was a witness last year of a historical concert - it(he,she) has repeated itself up to the satiety that ' To bigger bang ' is going to be the last tour of ' his(her, your) satanic majesties '-. For consolation, the adviser of Culture and Tourism confirmed yesterday that " one is working in several big concerts ", of that it(he,she) did not want to advance any name, but yes that it(he,she) defined as "spectacular".This year many big artists are of tour: Castile and León might be an obligatory stop.

Keep rollin'

So how will this work?

1. Dates announced today, (hopefully)
2. Tickets onsale immediately? or in a few days/weeks?

I am determined not to miss the tickets sale. I want tickets for London, Dublin and a club show. I simply cannot fail. Can anyone suggest the best
way to get great tickets, especially club tickets?

So is it pretty definite that the press conference / tour announcement is not going to happen today? I mean, on previous tours there has normally been something written by bv and / or something pretty official saying that something is happening today at such and such a time, etc...

There´s a question that I didn´t see answered until today.
The press conference will took place where?London?Paris other city?
And finally portuguese press is credible?

P.S I am portuguese, that´s why I ask the second question.
