After looking at some old videos, I may go see Steve Priest's Sweet next month. I didn't realize how much singing he did in the band. I'll either see him at the Country Club, or the Whisky if I go with an associate at work who is Steve's neighbor.

Its a bit in the air at the moment, treatment depends on result of tomorrows scans. but i'll probably be on chemo over the summer, may fit in the three end of may. the sit down gigs should be OK but its the traveling, especially coming back from the o2.

I was wrong. Mooney isn't playing until Saturday, the 3rd. But I'm not going. Too expensive, even though it is sponsored by Shell now (what a drag) and there's too many people and, as seems to be somewhat typical of our weather this year, it's raining about every 5-7 days and will rain tomorrow on through some of Saturday. The only thing is it isn't hot out. I love Jazz Fest but it is not a 'must go to' thing for me. I have things in my life I need to take care of anyway. Maybe next year.

Hey Bluz. I have some friends who just moved to NOHO. Gives me a reason to head south. So you've played the Key club huh. Cool. Don't know anything about it. Other than it's about 20 mins from where my friends live. From the little info I found. It appears to be primarily a heavy metal club. But since I don't think that's what you play,I guess not. Is it a decent joint?....Yes UFO still has Phil Mogg singing. I've seen a couple video's from the current tour. Not bad,but no Schenker. Just something to do....As for Derringer. I may be the only one who remembers when he had a band called Derringer for a while in the late 70's early 80's? I'm doing this from memory,which is dangerous. But I beleive the band included Danny Johnson on guitar,Kenny Aaronson on bass and Vinny Appice on drums. They put out a few albums,the best of which was Sweet Evil. Which nobody probably remembers. But I need a change of pace after my recent Bruce obsession.

SCL, The Key club is the premier Club on the Sunset Strip. The Whisky & Roxy aren't what they use to be. The Key is very popular with bands throwing CD release parties.The main stage has a room capacity of about 350 and the Plush Room holds about 100 with no seating. That's where we had our CD Release Party. Also, Roger our singer has business interests with the owner of the club. It's not exclusively a hard rock club. We played there the same night as Great White last year (We were in the small room) We told everyone to make sure they were wearing fire-retardant clothes.

BTW Tomorrow night we will be rehearsing in Sherman Oaks, right next door to NOHO.
