Hi,

Possibly Led Zeppelin at The Blackpool Tower Lounge this Friday.

My mistake-I meant Letz Zep...[www.letzzep.com]

Hopefully no ballot required for this one!

Cheers,

Si.

It's not how big your list is Lukester. It's what ya do with it. LOL....But really, most of those shows are pretty reasonable. Even Springsteen, relatively speaking.....It's those old pricks The Moody Blues who are really sticking it to me. But I've never seen them before and they are playing a small theatre in downtown San Francisco, that doesn't normally have a lot of concerts. Mostly plays. So I'm paying for a hell of a lot of ambience!LOL

I guess I will use my 1000th post to say that I have no tickets for any concert as of now, but the year is young.

I just saw G-Love and the Special Sauce. I understand they've been around for years but I've just discovered them. I'm surprised they're not more famous. G-Love is a talented guy. Inspired by Beck and Bob Dylan, maybe. Played a good two hours too.

TEENAGE FANCLUB are one of my fave bands, just seen them in London and their hometown Glasgow. 3 great singers and 3 great songwriters. Their 90s album Bandwagonesque was SPIN album of the year aheat or REMs Out Of Time and Nirvana's Nevermind.

Go and get up front to what Fanclub fans call The DAD PIT , wher fat auld bald mosh in a sad but happy way.

They are all great blokes as well, I know them quite well and have shared a few pints, meals etc with them.

Get yer mate to do ya a mix CD or by the recent compilation and last album MAN MADE.

Frank Black of the Pixies when asked who would be in his ideal band said, dont know but Gerry Love of Teenage Fanclub on bass.

I just got 3rd row centre seats for the Zombies Oddesy & Oracle warm up gigs in a small 300 saet venue just a 20min drive as well.

Yer mate doesnt visit the fanclub forumdoes he ?

Chris Wilson tonight Feb 7 at the Marquee in London. Chris was the lead singer with The Flamin' Groovies during their 70s heyday and co-wrote Shake Some Action - one of the all time great singles. He also sung on Slow Death and after Keith heard it he allegedly said, 'I don't remember writing that one'.
