You left out Dinosaur Jr. on September 21. Definitely don’t miss them! J is one of my favorite guitarists. And, Lou (also from Sebadoh, a fantastic band) rips on bass! They’re like a warm sonic blanket of noise. They tend to be polarizing, but if you’re on the right end of that, you’ll be rewarded greatly by their catalog and live show. Also, J is one of the best, most creative, expressive soloists.

True, Dinosaur Jr. are also opening that show. I know they’ve been around for decades but other than a couple songs, I don’t really know their music very well. Any recommendation on a place to start? (I’m not really the biggest Weezer fan. I’m mostly going to that show for the Flaming Lips.)

I’m least excited about Weezer of the 3 although I like them ok. Flaming Lips are awesome live!

As far as Dinosaur Jr goes, it’s tough to know where to start. Without knowing what kind of music you like exactly, I would say, maybe start with Where You Been. You’re Living All Over Me is probably their most important album, but it may be better to listen to it after Where You Been. As far as their reunion albums, my favorite is Farm. Beyond and I Bet On Sky are also elite. I know that’s a lot, but apart from an album or 2, they’re all fantastic to me (Greenmind and Hand It Over are awesome).

I had a meet and greet ticket for Girlschool's final North American tour, but wasn't feeling well and didn't go. I think my concert going days, or at least my Rock concert going days, may be slowly winding down.

I did see Suzanne Vega a few days ago and enjoyed it very much.
