Well Springsteen finally announced rescheduled dates for the Canadian shows, they're November 2024 with Vancouver being the final show of the tour on Nov 22. I hope he does some special songs or has special guests! Perhaps some locals like Bryan Adams, Michael Buble or even Sarah Maclachan.

Next show is PINK next Friday in Van, first of two shows.

Got back from Glasgow. Cracking performance of 2.1/4 hrs. The SSE Hydro was only 60 % full, though. Wish they had played New Order T-shirt, which they did in Leeds.
This is my fourth TN show after Edinburgh 2017 and London 2018 and 2022, the last two both headlining acts for the All Points East festival in Victoria Park.
Dark, melancholic, introspective but ultimately uplifting. Somehow they remind me of REM but maybe it’s just me.

Sorry I missed this - it was my 5th time seeing them since 2017. Fabulously engaging live band, superbly dark and melancholic but beautiful music. Couple of top tier blocks roped off but pretty full in Leeds - 85% I’d say. Yep we got new order t shirt but no mistaken for strangers so it’s swings and roundabouts. Also loving their work rate this year - 2 albums (one a double) and a big tour.

In Glasgow, Mistaken For Strangers was dedicated to the late Scott Hutchison of Frightened Rabbit, who topped himself — a poignant moment was had by all.

Nick Cave last night at The Ryman was elite. Magnetic show. Loved how Colin Greenwood added to it. First time seeing Nick Cave, and although I heard he engages with the crowd, I didn't expect him to respond to each and everyone who shouted out.

Was looking forward to seeing Samantha Fish & Jesse Dayton in Glasgow tonight. Well, in the evening of Tuesday 17th, my back was hit by a sudden acute pain out of nowhere, what the Germans call “Hexenschuss (witch’s blow)”. I somehow managed the Terry Reid concert the following day, but no way could I put up with an all-standing show at Barrowland. Moreover, the storm is rampaging all over Britain right now, warnings issued not to go out if unnecessary, concerns of transport disruption etc. The only consolation is that I haven’t bought the ticket to my relief.

I was also going to buy my CD copy of Hackney Diamonds on my way to Glasgow only to miss it. You can’t always get what you want as they say.
