20 years ago, I would have said "No way!!!"

Now.....I have to say, I wouldn't be surprised if Earth did end due to the conflict in the middle east, the shit is just going to get crazier.

Well Earth won't end...just the stupid humans.

Maybe we'll go the route of Perry Ferrell..."We'll make great pets." LOL

The end of the world seems to be a major kick for certain people.
Don't forget that there's been a fair shair of Dooms-Days in the past.

Even in the near past -anyone remember 2000?

I think it works the same way horror films do: people enjoy being scared.

Well, just found a link (http://www.daanspeak.com/Maya01Eng.html) and this sounds like a more plausible explanation:

"The Guatemalan ‘Mayan Elders of the Eagle Clan' write: 'This is a cycle of wisdom, harmony, peace, love, of consciousness and the return of the natural order. It is not the end of the world as many from outside of the Mayan tradition have misinterpreted it to be. The first cycle (Ajaw/sun) was a feminine energy and its element was fire. The second cycle (Ajaw/sun) was of masculine energy, and its element was earth. The third cycle (Ajaw/sun) was a feminine energy and its element was air. The fourth cycle (Ajaw/sun) is a masculine energy and its element is water. The fifth cycle (Ajaw/sun) will be a fusion of both feminine and masculine energies. It will be a transition where there won't be any more confrontations between the polarities. It will bring balance and there won't be hierarchy of one over the other. Both energies will support each other. It is why this period is called one of harmony, the kingdom of love and the return of consciousness. Its element will be the ether.'

There now smiling smiley

Certainly things are fading fast..things that might never come back...water is gonna be a big problem...the wars that are raging will have consequences for the future I can go on but I wont..It doesnt make one feel good..I rather put on''Whats Going on '' (album) from Marvin Gaye..he said it all in 1970!!I do not think about it much anymore..its so sad...we go in with eyes open wide...but the people in power..who make things worse (everybody can know whom they are!) those are the true criminals....there are chances..like..in Bolivia(what a cool indian president!!)We really have to stay positive..thats the only way(difficult)even if one chooses to only think about his own life!!But you might have children to so it is..well there is no time!!

The 50 Licks Tour...to support their A FINAL/BIGGEST BANG album should be great.
Can't wait to hear OH NO NOT YOU AGAIN (Part 3).

I'll be at the Dec 22 Soldier Field Show in Chicago.

* edit ....Chicago date changed to Dec. 20, 2012

Europeans....you might as well spend 2012 in the US. No reason to save your $.

In the year 2012, The Rolling Stones will have celebrated their 50th Anniversary as a band.

It's been said that the year 2012 will be the end of the world.

Coincidence?

I think not.
