BV why do don't open a special thread with some examples for the design of the shirts? In this way every board member can give a vote for his fovorite.

Keep on rollin'

Tongue-riding girl is copyright material in 3 (three) medias... Out of question. And besides - it's not even classy. A number of female fans - and male - would object to wearing it. (in front of their children and grandchildren, lovers, husbands, mothers etc)

This IS the special thread
and before we can vote on a design - we have to post some suggestions first.

BV said in an earlier post no tongue for copyright reasons and I think he would like IORR somehwere so at least there is some kind of recognition for the website.

Still should be possible....

I think it would be cool also have a sleeveless option for those hot summer european nights!

I didn't mean that we should have that drawing on the T-shirt.
It's ROadsters tattoo

what about using a picture that one of us took? that would avoid copyright problems?...

Just a small IORR or something like that on the shirt would be nice. Let's not do it the rollingstones.com way. Great idea by the way!

Hey Bjornulf

maybe youve forgotten the 'official' IORR t-shirt from 1984?!

I still have mine, I think, although I'd need to have my stomach stapled in order to get into it again!

I made the first (and probably only) IORR shirts back in 1984 and 1985. They said It's Only Rock'n Roll, and that the Keith silhouette drawing by Ronnie. Very nice. Very characteristic. May be two versions of that one. One smaller one with the IORR 2007 and Keith logo on the left side like the Crockodile on Lacoste shirts. For those who don't want to walk around like banners. Then something bigger & more visible with the same design all over the front + back for those who want to be seen from every distance. The color should be Stones inspired. May be yellow like the record label. May be white and neurtal. May be grey as many people like it that way. Color may be decided on separately. It should be ready by May this year, before tour start.

There are many colours that shidobee has blue, yellow, orange, but that day glow green is gross. But i saw a old man wearing one at Idaho this year about 10th row 4 over from the cat and Keef totally went out of his way and through him a pick the stones do know about these web sites he even laughed while checking the shirt out.

Do the Shidoobees care about copyright?

As far as I remember the Shidoobee shirt and the Stones Deck shirt have a tongue on their shirts.

And this in the US.

Why should IORR care?

Well... Erik, a modest proposal: At least it should have "www.iorr.org" on it.

I think this is a great idea.
I read the shidoobee site every so often but I wouldn't dream of getting one of those horrible puke green shirts. But they do get special treatment from the band management, that's true.
If you need any help in sourcing good quality shirts let me know 'cos my brother-in-law is a printer and gets good shirts in.

Aren't all privately (i.e. by members of iorr) taken pictures of the band copyright free?

Great plan! I saw Ablett step forward to provide us with a demonstration of his skills, which would take away any problems, regarding money, for the design. Supervised by BV, this set-up would be a guarantee for a shirt that represents the IORR-mood very well.

I do not like to wear merchandise, but this would be an expression of what I do very frequently (and it is no merchandise of course). I would want one.
