I still think we should try to do something different. A logo does not include pictures of people in most cases. Some sort of symbol that identifies the band or product. Look what Andy Warhol came up with.

Manofwealthandtaste thats a cool look the one with the guitar.

You can always have alternate 2nd and 3rd versions too. Start with a logo.

I guess you mean John Pasche? (http://johnpasche.com/flash6.html)

But you've got a point.

ablett, I like that logo, but it's very like Tom Petty's guitar-thru-the-heart which the Heartbreakers have been using since forever.

I'll add my vote to the Cherry Red campaign.

Ablett! Your'e a talented guy. But in stead of adding elements to your design - you actually ought to simplify it. It's already too much. Well done, good drawing, but it doesn't work as a logo or a t-shirt-design.

Think simplicity. One or two elements. One doesn't have to reveal all the contents of a book on the cover...

And good luck!

Cherry red works for me!

I think any neat, simple design - as long as it was done by a member - is a great idea.

I agree, I think it's a great drawing, but should be simplier. This looks more like a tattoo to me, it reminds me of something a southern rockband would have as their symbol. I think something more British would be more fitting? Not necessarily a crest, but something more along the lines of that.

Exactly, Cindy.
Good luck Ablett - and all you talented people out there.
I just can't wait to see the t-shirt. And I'll be proud to wear it - no matter what you come up with. OK - that's trust!

A crest? Blimey, never had the Stones as part of the British establishment?

This is only a pencil sketch. Final artwork would be computer generated and less fussy?

iorr.org (as opposed to just iorr)

Sex & Drugs & Rock'n Roll all in one logo! I think you might have hit the jackpot.

It's obviously a Heart of Stone - or if you still want a quote from ABB, "... but you know I'll never break your heart!"

Nice one Ablett.......British Establishment? Of course, this is the coat of arms of Lord Jagger of Dartford, marvellous stuff!

Or like the first Beggars cover?? We still got so much options..but that really was a good one..and the Rockman Signature is a winner to!

I still fancy the idea that it should be unique and created by one of the IORR....

Using photo's versions of album covers is ok but wouldn't it be great to have an original?

Re: The official IORR T-shirt

To satisfy the 'tongue vote', the she-devil at the top of the design could have a tongue tattoo on her right butt cheek!

Still reckon ur gonna struggle with BV on any tongue mentions.....

Yeah..original...one could use it but make his own...art..it just the basic idea..Stones related not a copy..you could put on add all these names...hell its a bad suggestion sorry!

Looks good to me! Not too crazy about maroon and yellow as the colors for the shirt, though. I know it's a cliche, but I still think it's hard to beat a red logo on a black shirt.

Alblett's design (and it's application as shown above) STILL gets my vote (with my changes of course :-) ). I'm guessing, as a designer, he's trying to avoid predictable symetry but the 'Stones have always been a TWO GUITAR band.

I can live with two guitars, just need another go. What would you suggest? The only thing is I seem to recall a Staus Quo logo with two guitars........

The two guitars could criss cross, like an X. Not sure where you'd put the bottle of Jack then, tho ... maybe the she-devil could hold it?

resist over-complicating it ablett - get BV's thoughts on it
