Great crowds make wonders. I wish they could have played more university shows in smaller cities. First Wichita. Such a great show. Then Missoula. Grizzly Stadium. Where they did have beer on sale (not in Wichita), and it seemed like all the students took care of beer sales, security, checking tickets again and again... Never seen a smaller venue. It was like being in an arena. 21,000 people in a stadium show is getting sort of intimate. They did half of Honky Tonk before moving back the B-stage to the main stage. Not really far.

Mick was talking a lot in the beginning. Then he spent the rest of the show running and jumping. A lot. His best comment was this: "I went out and shot an elk today. But I put it back". May be he has heard of catch and release. That is for fishing in the river I assume...

Keith said it was so nice in Missoula. He actually though about moving here. No wonder the crowd went wild on such a comment.

The band was sharp all the way. Keith used his other white guitar - not the big one - for Satisfaction tonight and it sounded great. Mick was absorbing all the excitement from the crowd - really noisy and great crowd - and did some great playing along with the crowd on numerous songs including Can't Always Got and so on. Even Ronnie went front stage many times which he hasn't done in a long time.

It must have been the fresh air and the mountains of Montana that made them so great. I don't know. All I know is I love university shows!

Montana: isn't it where " a fish runs through it" was filmed? Fly-fishing, a great sport

What a fantastic show! They were totally on! If anyone is interested they stayed at a ranch/resort here called "paws up". I heard they paid a little over $1,000,000 to stay there for three or four days. One memeorable moment for me (besides their great renditions of all that they played) was when Mick was doing the intros and introduced Keith as "out of focus Keith". When Keith said we have beautiful country up here the crowd went wild. I've even heard that the producers of pirates of the carribean 3 are mulling about the idea of shooting some of it on Flathead lake up here, it's a huge lake and I could see them doing it.The Stones totally rock, great music and Micks got energy to spare!
