I've just mailed my family to keep the weekend of june 16th clear! I'm looking forward to the fuss and stress of keeping my promise to get them all a FOS ticket into the Stade de France. When we've seen Midnight Rambler together live, I will never have to explain anything about the Stones again...

Well this surely looks promising now, thank you Björnulf for the good news. My vacation schedule for this summer will be syncronised with the Stones tour schedule. I will see you all out there!!!!

You better be hoping and praying that they do play that number at that show!

They've played it last year in Paris, and IF that has any influence, it doesn't have good influence I'm afraid. Same goes for PIB; another song that you wish your family on their first Stones-show. But of all the options currently available, Paris is by far the best choice for us: the great reception and organisation around and inside the stadium, (friendly people, good food outside, and beer inside from bars on the field) a great chance to visit the city again, relative good sound on the field, all plusses...

We'll see.

Great! Will the tour go through August? That would be fantastic! Hoping to do Brussels, London and Paris.

At what time of day will they announce the dates? Early in the morning GMT or rather around noon? Or maybe in the afternoon?

What do you think?

Are there really very very very strong rumours that the announcement will be tomorrow?

I mean if there is some kind of press conference, the press should know in advance. Or will they just give a press release? I'd assume that Cohl would give such a press release at normal American offcie times, therefore Europeans shouldn't expect information before lunch.

Sounds plausible - but: the announcement of the 2006 European leg was announced on German TV early morning... if I remember correctly

Without the slightest idea of traditional habitus etc
but with some clues about the geography I'd say some German city like Düsseldorf, Bremen, Hamburg could be in question there?

On the other hand, if they play somewhere June 13 or 14 plus Paris June 16,
they might be havin' several, days off around June 17, 18, 19
and possibly even June 20 (say, if they had a gig also June 10, 11 or 12).

With other words: not even a rocket scientist would know.

per sympathyforthedevils.com , the Lyon show appears to be July 17th.

Unless theres a break after the Paris show, I would GUESS that the show(s) immediately following that gig would be more likely to be somewhere in the same part of western Europe - eg Brussels, Germany, Netherlands.

I emphasise that it's pure guesswork on my part, though. However, the rumoured dates in the first half of Europe appear to be in that general area (Germany, Isle of Wight, Paris)

well Shes So Cold in the summer would look pretty ridiculous

I wouldnt use that as a yardstick for future tour itineraries. If you took rs.com's merchandise at face value, you'd think the Rolling Stones were entering Daytona as well as fielding a Major league baseball team in 2007.
