So, I was at Bernard's concert in Vienna today - talked to him quickly after the show and asked him if he'd be back a bit later this year with the Stones. He said, "Yes, definitely - see you there!".

I'd be amazed if they play Vienna two years in a row, Lorenz - unless its indoors this time. here's hoping anyway.

Still, a good sign that a member of the Stones BAND is confirming they're touring this summer. I think thats the first time I've read that. Hopefully that'll ease the doubts of some folks.

I would travel to Vienna. No question.

Here are some "rumoured" infos of a german broker. German version is about registrating for all concerts in Europe. But they also mention "probably" only ONE concert will happen in Germany". In the english version nothing is mentioned about that.

ok EUR 20.00 for registration is 9üjlh666221fffff,,, but last year some friends of mine could get FOS Cologne for about EUR 10.00 over regular price at this ticket seller.

Oh .. .. Maybe all rubbish but...

Oh, no - I'm sure they won't play Vienna this time. It already didn't sell very well last time - I think he just meant Europe in general. I'll see him again in two weeks in Budapest (I'll be there anyway to visit my gf's parents) and ask again smiling smiley

George Michael has now been confirmed as the first artist to perform at the new Wembley Stadium - on June 9th, one week earlier than the Muse gigs announced a couple of months ago.

So, the only available weekend for the Stones to play that venue prior to that date is the 2/3 June, with the only other weekend now available that month being 3 weeks later.

There has been some chatter on Dublin radio stations about a Stones show this summer.Today the Mail on Sunday Irish edition has a story stating that there are currently advanced negotiations going on about a show in Croke Park in June. I am not sure how reliable this is but hears hoping it's true....

Jesus...not Croke Park sad smiley

Wouldnt be surprised if there was a Dublin show, although until now, rumours about one have been few and far between

I'm so curious to know... ;-)

Dont ya just love it when someone posts something like that just for the sole purpose of leavin' you hangin' for days and wondering what they know and you dont?

Supposedly, theres an announcement in the next few days. [www.iorr.org]

I suppose it could be Wednesday, although its still a bit speculative.

yeah, Gazza, I got your point - and I got my sources, too (background musician but not Bernard who's mentioned in Lorenz' thread) that's not allowed to tell more than what's already been said - maybe I should just try to relax a bit while this situation of hanging inbetween news is still present...

I'll try to do my very best not to bother you guys with more of those impatient questions :-]

actually voodookeef - I was takin' YOUR side entirely. Its pointless someone half-telling you something that they 'know' and then not replying to you.

;-) I got you right - in taking my side... maybe my answer was confusing?

But anyway I should just try to cool down a bit and not to hop on every rumour that some clowns post here...

Sooner or later we all will be wiser - hopefully within this week...

And then maybe I can buy you a beer at an upcoming European gig :-]

Keep June-August blank if you want to have some extra fun with the Stones in Europe this summer. Or wait until the shows are announced soon to book your holiday. Much more fun to be on holiday with the Stones nearby.

I think that's not all that's on the rumours page. Only Dusseldorf (quite big stadium in overplayed West Germany!) and Erfurt (small stadium in underplayed East Germany) is quite absurd.

Augsburg, Karlsruhe were also under discussion.
For me, Nürnberg or Frankfurt makes sense.

I don't think that Augsburg and Karlsruhe make sense - they're too close together... But rumours are that there will be only one maybe two shows in Germany at all - and then it will probably be Dusseldorf/Erfurt... that's my guess ;-)

Rumours are rumours... Porbably a lot of different possible locations for gigs in Germany where discussed inside the Stones camp and with the local authorities. That rumours for Augsburg, Erfurt and Karlsruhe got into public (and this board) does not mean that any of these cities will really make it.

Hope we will know the real deals quite soon!

Unfortunately booked my holidays for this summer had to take advantage of cheap flights & dates plus the mrs getting on my back espiecally after last year as well with the tour.

Hopefully they will go back to almeria at the same time i am over there in july & august, i still have a couple of days to play with, fingers crossed the credit card will take the strain.
