RIP Steve. Your big smile and persona will be greatly missed. Your interest in nature took you. Peace and light to your family. Rest easy buddy.

Steve Irwin DID’NT harasses animals. In fact, he used to rescue them and move them to environments where there was less chance of human contact.

The man was a legend and will be rightfully missed by millions.

RIP Steve yawning smiley)

Yeah, as you can see (photo on bottom of page one) he was holding the baby close to his chest - no dangling...What if the dude had fallen back and that giant f-ing Croc had snatched up the baby "Baby Bob" I think it was. Now THAT would have been a stain on his career, to have baby bob swallowed up by Pete the Croc. Anyway, on the news today they're saying that he actually pulled that thing that the Stingray stuck in his heart out of his chest before he passed out - they have it all on film/video...how many days before YOUTUBE has it? I feel bad for his kids though - 2 little ones. You know, you play with fire you get burned....Look at the Stones, they cut that deal with the Devil in '68 and now Satan demands that they play MISS YOU, IORR, and START ME UP at EVERYSHOW....... paybacks a bitch !!!!

R.I.P. Croc Hunter

PS You KNOW the world is TOTALLY Effed up when 44 yr old Steve Irwin dies too young but certain idiot world leaders are super healthy going on 60.....

He did dangle the kid.. he held it in a way like it was "walking" towards the water.

He apoligized for it later on, said it was very stupid..

To compare him to the Grizzly dude is totally wrong - the grizzly guy was some washed-up actor wannabe who didn't know what he wanted to do in life, and just latched on to bears with no prior knowledge about the animals at all.

u missed the point IgotDbluez........not comparing their qualifications or personalities one bit.......just "you cannot mess with nature"........qualified or not........i'm sure Steve Irwin was about as knowledgeable as you can get....and lookey what happened

Ironically, he was not messing at all. You would think one day he'd get killed by a croc. Really though, he was swimming, and it was under him, and it just popped up. And stung him. And these things are everything but fatal, unless of course, they pop right through your heart. So it wasn't really anything he could have really prevented. Sure, there were risks in swimming there in the first place. But he didn't provoke the animal on purpose.

The whole thing was filmed. I wonder if it will ever leak out. No doubt it will. The director says you can see him getting stung, he pulls it out, and then you just see him dying.

Speaking of animalmovies...I just got the March of the Penguins,
that was truely great! While the end-credits runs, you can see a penguin staring right into the camera, and hitting it, with his "wing". They're not afraid of people at all...because they haven't seen them before, and the fear of people is not in their blood.

March of the Penguins is a superb bit of filming without upsetting the colony, a cracking film to watch.

Grizzly Man was an ego trip for A Mutter, he killed his girlfriend in reality through being ignorant of the Dangers of these creatures, because she was scared of bears and didn't want to be there.

Steve Irwin though was enthusiastic to the point of going over the top, but he came across as a true lover of Nature and the kind of bloke we all wish we had as a Brother, Dad or Friend, He will be sadly missed.

Erik - You don't suck. It was edited once to direct it at Menace of Mayfair, and then again to delete it. When I first saw it, I thought, "What's this guy got against Mr. Snow?"

I hope it does not leak out for the sake of his family.
They have enough grief without watching their loved ones death.

You're absolutely right.
Bill Clinton is 60, in good health, and an idiot.
Too bad George Galloway and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad couldn't go swimming, too.
RIP Steve Irwin.

Steve was big mad bug-err whom we all envied because of his mad feats with extremely dangerous animals plus attitude towards humans respecting and understanding animals.
In his short 44 year life span he did things that most of us would not have achived in 10 life cycles.
He was one brave bug-er and deserves to be remembered as one of lives most unique guys.
