Brokers Taking a BATH
Posted by: drbryant ()

I spoke to an acquaintance who works for one of the biggest online brokers. Stones tix for Boston are apparently not selling at all. He said there is no interest, and there is a huge supply on the secondary market. He doesn't care, he just works there, but there seems to be little interest even in rows 1-20, and along the catwalk! If you have always wanted to sit in the first 20 rows, this is your chance, for less money than you would have thought.

Good....I hope they all go bankrupt. Its bad enough that tickets are actually held back and siphoned off to these legalised touts

I'll second that, but I'll go with double rations of "good", and the hope that they go "quadruply" bankrupt. They deserve not just everything they get, but loads more of it too !

I hope that the Foxboro disaster will have a huge impact on future ticket prices. This will be the first opening night that's far from a sellout.

Boston is not the US. But it's hard for The Stones. There is a limit when you Play With Fire. They should have known it. But 5 more days to go.

from all accounts the audience to this show, is going to total,
half a dozen Shidoobee'ans,
a couple of hotdog vendors and 35 merchandise stands.

- Cohl must be sweating!

I wish the Stones to play to a full house obviously, it's just the scalpers and/or brokers that I wish misery upon - because they've had it good for so long and made too many peoples' lives a bloody misery along the way. So if ticket prices at the box office have got to drop for the band to enjoy playing to a full house, then so be it - let them drop. You won't hear of any of us complaining, will you ?

but, it could affect future touring plans - the Stones could easily opt to not bother if that can't make the gadzillions that they presume to with these insane prices.....

Thats just a bit too dramatic I think but anybody who has their whole life wrapped up in getting good seats to a concert kinda bring the misery upon themselves. And Any brokers who go bankrupt would be easily replaced by more of the same.

It is not because you may take a bath in Boston that you stop. Europe is awaiting on them and they know it.

Just makin' the point that they're scum & I wish 'em ill - that's all. There's no "dramatics" !

Then you make a U turn and change of cashcow when the first one is dry.

But if the ticket price drops, then wouldn't this make it easier for scalpers to operate? Granted, there's always going to be someone willing to pay the premium, but those numbers drop as base ticket prices grow.

Well I'm going and I want a good energetic crowd and band, because I love the Stones. I thought Foxboro was a misstep when I first heard about it, but the vitriol is not something I understand. Do Streisand's and Madonna's Eagles and so and so's fans vent such feelings when those tours charge high(er) prices? Doubt it. Screw the brokers, and Cohl is currently pre-occupied with his Madonna & Babs tours.

Hell with the $22 tix...just go the day of and give the scalper scum a $10 bill for a $100 ticket!!

The scalper scum took a beating for Roger Waters as well....you could get in for $20 at MSG.
