Have a look and listen at the Copacabana DVD, it gives you a slightly different picture of the intro compared to the official release. Before the song starts Mick strums his guitar twice. So you can hear what it sounds like and you can also hear the echo. And that is not the high ringing sound we are talking about here, it is a deeper tone. Mick makes very sure that Chuck and him start the song synchronous (edited out on the BB DVD) and then something takes off.
Chuck played in a Frankfurt club on Friday night and I asked him about it. He said that he doesn’t trigger anything and it’s Mick playing! But he doesn’t know what they’re doing “in front of the house”! Ha, ha, I thought! How would he not know what they do! So I don’t know if he was telling the truth.
So, in theory, would it be possible that someone at the mixing desk is involved? Or is that crap?
