Stoned

I have just watched Stoned and thought it to be quite good. I know a lot of people won't give it the time of day but how true to reality is it? No Stones music, does that mean the Stones didn't want anything to do with it? I can see why BUT is the story just made up from hearsay of is there much truth in it. I thought the way it was put together leaves you thinking. The guy who played Brian I thought was very good, I suppose your all going to say it's been discussed before and lead me to an old thread now!

The only knowledge I have is what I remember reading in the papers at the time and little snippets here and there.

Any new comments apart from saying it was crap and all fiction?

smile: your wish is my command: [www.iorr.org]
(you *could* revive one of the old threads instead of starting new ones every two weeks, but ... never mind!)
only people who were there at the time would be able to tell you how much truth there is
to the version presented in the film. i personally would rather see a good documentary
covering what's known and what the various hypotheses are than a "fictionalized" version
that leaves viewers unsure how much is known fact and how much is speculation.

For some unknown reason knowbody wants to talk or give their opinion about this film, is it because people don't like talking about Brian?

Just think what he could have done if he hadn't died? who could he have teamed up with and what sort of band, blues I should think and perhaps keeping to the old stones style. What would he be doing now? The mind boggles?

it may just be that people have already expressed their opinions of the film -
as you noted right at the start, we've had the discussion more than once.
anyway talking about Brian, talking about the film and talking about "what if" scenarios
are three different things, i think. which is it you want to discuss?

I quite liked the film pgarof although there is always going to be a debate about its authenticity.

I just would like to start a debate on something that I am interested in i.e Brian Jones, maybe I'll start a new thread!
