The extended version is just a gorgeous as the short single. No live action in this clip but beautiful pics.
I can not get through this song without getting choked up. It happens EVERY time. It is one of the greatest songs I know.
When they drop down, and he sings alone "I just gotta know, baby cos I love you so, wanna blow for you"...words fail.
It has been brutal weather here; non stop freezing rain for two days so far, and I have been playing the song on guitar non stop. I think I have conquered it.
Yes his song selection at the "Waltz" was excellent. The obscure "Hazel", but it is (once again) odd you bring up Dylan from the Waltz because one of my alltime favorite songs is Dylan's version of "I dont believe it, she acts..". It displays these sides of Dylan that are so often over looked: that he wrote great melodies too, and that he could be, when he chose,a superb singer. In "I don't believe " there is that crescendo and the zenith of the song when he goes "as the guitar played " and Robbie answers, and then he belts out "her mouth was watery and wet".Quote
Hairball
Early acoustic version:
Bob Dylan - Baby Let Me Follow You Down
And the more raucous version with the Band from the Last Waltz, 1976:
The Band & Bob Dylan - Baby Let Me Follow You Down

Edit: my bad, I got toxic air, maybe I can blame it, I was not aware of the roots of this song, it’s been a
favorite forever
I’m listening to the recorded track now over/over
Perfect song perfection
