here's a fun link to info on this band, who scored so hugely
with the "O Brother Where Art Thou" Movie Soundtrack LP,
which was, imo, SUPER GREAT,
as was this instantly classic brilliant movie that used music
so well throughout.
Coen Brothers are off the wall fo sho...

Love Shania; that girl was supporting her family-in-crisis
with cold remote bar gigs as a ten year old girl in Ontario, Canada.
The marriage crashed. She had a baby and retired for a spell and
came back really strong.
then she had a lot of physical difficulties with her instrument,
which is pretty tragic, ala maybe Linda Ronstadt too; long one
of my heros since my teenage years, and through her brilliant
early 70's stuff....
anyway, here she's sounding great. a brave courageous survivor
who hit the tippy top and crashed to the very bottom and is
still a beautiful important artist and woman; and performances like this,
tho will be mocked for it's middle of the road pop box that Mutt put her in
(so brilliantly imo).....is a really fine spirit and artist.
ok i'm im love; have a little mercy on old hoppy; it's ok to be square
if she moves her shoulders like that. i fricken guarantee it.
