Shame on every single person here who ignore the IORR policy and post political statements, even if I repeat again and again that this is against the policy on IORR and you are in fact wasting my time doing so. I mean it and don't ask me why I deleted your poost or your user. Use Edit post and clean up asap. I mean it. No mercy.

that being said...i think rfk jr. an incredibly astute and concerned spokesperson for the environment chiefly, as well as other issues now, seemingly...

I have never had any problems, but was at the Louvre last year, and I noticed a group of American teenagers -- loud, overweight, and carrying copies of the Da Vinci Code guide to Europe. It was embarrassing.

LOL....
We English are similarly embarrassed by all the drunken, sun burnt and enebriated lobsters that are drawn to Spain's wonderful beeches every year.

We all got a cross to bare mate.

Not as embarassing as the couple (I aint saying
where they came from) I encountered in the elevator to the Eiffel Tower
(why the bloomin' heck was I there?). I am scared Sh*tless in hi elevators,
and these two persons must have weighed a good half ton.

But - isnt it better they take a look with the Dan Brown paperback
in the lobster instead of not looking at all?

Japanese tourist are worst imho. When my oldest son was a little baby boy,
a group in Stockholm took him up like a monkey ("Baboon Son") and
treated him like they were Livingstone and we were savages.

And amen to that.

Exactly, I'm not what you'd call "patriotic" and I'm openly critical of our politicians, Democrat and Republican alike, if their job merits criticism, but this hits the nail on the head.

Why do I get the feeling we as Americans are expected to apologize for not leaving Western Europe to the Russians? My wife's grandfather (German) was captured by the Americans in Italy during the last days of WWII. When I asked him if he would have rather been with the Russians he briskly replied with, "hell no." It cound have been A LOT worse had our guys not stuck around.

I could go on and on and on and on . . . .

Regards,

Electric Duane . . . .

No one ever says that you didn't save Europe (the World?) in the second WW.

But that doesn't mean that no one is allowed to criticise the US foreign policy any more, right? And also, you didn't do that just because you are such nice people, but didn't want to leave Europe to the Russians/Communism and of course the rebuilding of Europe was very profitable for US companies....

The risky part is that politics is not allowed on IORR.
Why the shame?

Europe was liberated by the Allies, which consisted of many countries, such as Canada, Poland, Great Britain, Australia, USA, Sovjet Union, etc.

Not only by the USA, who actually weren't involved until they got attacked themselves in Pearl Harbor.

Things that are not allowed... you know... 4,8 msgs/h... and long ones... one of the most popular threads this month so far.
