That song is entirely too funny! I'm sure Keith would get a good laugh out of it too!

I just happy that we can now laugh about it. I'm looking forward to the 2008 tour!

Fully agree.

'Excuse me,
I fell off of my perch!
Sorry to disrupt everyones' plans but now -
It's FULL STEAM AHEAD! Ouch!!'

Maybe they have drilled a bit too far, but if someone would have said this
to Keith as an excuse in the 80s, he would have kicked the shit out of him.

Keith has lost a lot of his cool nimbus after this affair.
"Sorry to disrupt everyones´plans" - Keith style to say something
but telling nothing.

Seems like his excuse is blah, blah - he should rather have said nothing....

He doesn't have Mick's class of behaviour.... neither background social class.... and Patti didn't help him either......

But there is an enormous difference between
someone saying something to Keith,
then Keith saying something to someone.

This "someone" is a million people at last.

Yea, but why should he ask for apology, when it was an accident ?
I would never apologize if, for instance a dog bit me while I walked to work...so I couldn't meet up in the morning.
I'm sure Keith knows that 90% of the fans are just happy that he's on his feet now.

Do I really have to tell you the difference of climbing a tree
or walking a dog? The least thing he can do is to give a heartfelt
apology. This Keithism-statement is just a poor effort.

He doesn´t have to apologize !!

No need to be cool!!!

We all understand -
we are all happy he´s still alive - we are thankful the tour is gonna be to continue -- BUT: we are all unsatisfied the way it was handeled and we are all very angry about the cancelled shows we cannot attend and even more: the postponed dates we still don´t know to take place........

OK - that´s my opinion and I said "we" instead of "I".....

Stop talking crap! You're getting me angry! Of course Keith owes nobody an appology. It was an accident. He has the right to do whatever he pleases on his leisure time - and doesn't have to take into consideration that some people have spent money on things they couldn't afford. That's YOUR problem, not Keith's. Is every second person on this site named "PETTY", is it the Christian name, middle name or surname? Or all? Stop bashing Keith! The man's been through brain surgery - and all you guys want is his appology... The logic here i not present. Listen to yourselves, especially TooTough and CountryHonk - if you're not ashamed of your postings or your behaviour, there must be something missing in your brains... I think it's called compassion - empathy. Go look it up in the Big Book - ooops and careful now, while you climb your book shelves - if you fall down, you have to appology to EVERYONE. (Not really, but according to your own logic - see, it's totally insane.

I can't believe people are bitchin' about money these days. Keith is recovering and will be ready to tour Europe this summer and the US in the fall. I don't want to hear your pathetic stories about how much cash you've lost on cancelled flights and hotels. Keith will soon be back to rock'n'roll again. That's what's most IMPORTANT right now. NOT the petty problems of a few selfish and spoiled people. Btw, Keith don't owe us a goddamned thing. He's free to do whatever he wants to.MEZ

and Ay ay baby it hurts

Who is being selfish now :-)

Actually, that's not selfish - that's putting things into perspective. When people are so ignorant they don't even buy travel insurance - they have only themselves to blame. Keith owes us nothing - we owe him a LOT. I really can't believe I'm reading this shit on the European Rolling Stones Fan Club Site...

Shidoobee, travel insurance usually only pays you back if something happens to you yourself, not if they cancel a concert. So you have to say to them that you are ill and that's something we are not allowed to do according to some peolple. It's like robbing an old lady.
But I agree, shit happens and Keith doesn't owe us anything. I don't expect him to get down on his knees. I think Mick, and rightly so, kicked the shit out of him already. This is the last tour. Mick is tiered of babysitting on the two guitar players

Keith is Keith and doesnt have to apologize to anyone except me for his bad hair and to Brian Jones. If he hadnt been Keith you wouldnt care about the Stones.

Yes, true, but the reason for this surgery was (choose)

[ ] me
[ ] Keiths stupid behaviour

Ýou are asking for empathy? Empathy is not a one way street.
Keith can show it, too. Or do you excuse ANYTHING he does?
Maybe he is your hero in behaviour, but to me he is a hero for
his music first. That´s the way I know him. I don´t know
him personally (maybe you do), as long as he isn´t coming
to my house I have to judge what he is telling in the media.

> not ashamed of your postings or your behaviour,

Why do folks like you always get offensive? Try to talk about
the TOPIC.

OK, the fact is, you screwed up. No travel insurance, no cancellation insurance? Thats stupidity, too! Like climbing a palm tree, at 62, when you're drunk and have arthritis and your knuckles are swollen... But that's as far as I'll go. Don't blame Keith for your own stupidity. This shit must come to an end. Keith said sorry. Isn't it our turn now? Things have gotten a bit out of proportions. What really pisses me off nowadays is the treatment of "prisoners" at Guantanamo. Not a musician falling down from a palm tree... However, I am really disappointed at those of you who say the Stones are losing their European fan base. Not true! And you know it.
